New Instance Limit in WoW Classic

Blizzard knew about this back in the day but didn’t put a limitation on the game probably because of alt needing pre0bis that could easily help reach lockout caps.

Mages used to pull just the crocs around Hakkar, Lasher farms in DM, and all the herbs in Mara.
The issue was youtube wasn’t that well known back then so gold guides where rare, and it was rarer for people to actually look for one.

The other thing is that because of the few people show hints or tricks on youtube lead to some buffs/nerfs from blizzard, that’s why some gear got changed throughout the classics life.

The point, which you’re clearly missing, is that because of the sub-par drop rate, it averages out to us more often not getting as much as we’d like or need.

Your point is only valid in the case where the drop rate is 50%. Then yeah, sometimes you’ll break even, sometimes almost all MCP, sometimes little.

In the case of 30%, you’ll come away disappointed more often than not, averaging out. We CIRCUMVENT this likelihood by being able to go in as many times as we want per day.

Stupidest change yet, ban the bots. this is going to affect people by locking them out of raids. there’s too much to even list, i can’t understand why they would punish players like this. this is disgusting.

Mages In Vanilla mostly farmed lashers in DM, or the crocs in ZG, the only things that has changed is the boosting and honestly a lot of players just want(ed) to reach max lvl as fast as possibly because they like end game, bg’s, or needed an alt because of WB’s.

This is in no way, shape or form exploitative as - assuming no compotition - farm just as much gold in the open world as a mage or other classes.

All this does it destroy the now stabilizing economy (after the introduction of layers for a few) and destabilizing them, uping prices due to competition. It also means casuals may not be able to farm enough mats/gold for raid day, or progression raids. It also means the available amount of resources (herbs, ores, or otherwise) in now going to dwindle even more.

this also means people like me (who plays a lock and needs to farm shadow res) can’t just take a day or two and farm the last pieces of gear I need in order to tank twin emps, but rather have to spread it over the weeks have even less of a life because of ZG/Ony resets, helping guildies, farming gold (effectively) and being raid prep’d.

I see no reason why I should get punished for using my time as effectively as possible, and the lockout can be done in 3hrs if you are using an alt to reset a dungeon just an fyi.

such a stupid change. ban the bots, not limit the players that actually play. this is a bait and switch. this is ridiculous.

Holy smokes this is the best!

I feel it is the player’s right to play the game how they want. If people want to sell runs or reset 100 times a day for 1 rare piece of loot, then I feel they should always be welcome to do so. Bots scripting in dungeons, flying above and below instances, or sitting near a rare commodity 24/7 (botting) is unfair to actual players and should be removed from the game. They’ve played the system for far too long now. It just doesn’t feel right that this impacts me when I’m the one playing by the rules. Please address the real root of the problem and focus less on trying to throttle it.

deflation
there is more goods in the economy as such the prices go down.
Inflation requires the economy needing cash to “stabilize” itself.

This will not fix the problem, this hurts the actual player base way more than it does bots. Farming, SGC, HoJ, druids farming MCP’s as a few quick examples. Or if you are farming on an alt then try and switch to your main for raid. I hope this gets removed soon. Little by little blizzard attempts to band aid fix the problem and hurts/changes the game as a whole. With each little change they make it chips away at what the game is supposed to be. Please fix real problem and invest money into the game by having active gm’s for servers.

False.

If the drop rate is 30% and you do 10 runs, maybe you get it 0 times. Maybe you get it 6 times. But over a long enough timeline you’ll find the graph trends toward 3 out of 10.

As someone who boost mara it is insanely easy to go past 30 lockouts in a day if you are set on spending a day to farm gold to stockpile consumables.

This is the problem, people think everyone who is boosting is a god damn bot. I know several people who have learned the 200+ mob mara pull, an that stuff takes time an effort. An now they are either forced to charge a fortune or lose out on their powerful gold farm.

It should be by battle tag. It would virtually stop the revolving door of multibox bots waltzing through stratholme

With the economy in shambles, it is really hard to generate much sympathy for boosters.

It does. not. matter. that you think it’s unhealthy. If they want to do it, they should be able to.

As a druid who farms MCP in gnomer as well as mushrooms in Mara, this hurts.

I wonder how many posts this thread would have if all of the 1 post sock puppets were removed.

This has to be one of the worst changes you have ever implemented and does nothing really to combat the botting problem. I’m a legitimate player and have very specific times during the week that I can commit to farming and I have regularly hit more than 30 instances a day. This isn’t even difficult to hit when some legitimate players are playing 18+ hours a day.

How can you possibly view this as an acceptable method, limiting the play time of paying players? I’ve done legitimate solo farming of DM, ZF, ZG, MCP hitting hourly lockout on all for significantly more than 30 in a day. This also means that I can’t farm on raid days for fear of hitting daily lockout and barring me from my raid. Absurd!

Please consider reverting this change immediately and look to way to actively combat the botting problem instead of passively affecting a much larger player base.
