I remember when I would submit a ticket about a problem and talk to an ACTUAL person! Now I submit a ticket and get generic replies and never talk to someone. They just hit reply paste reponse close ticket.
Their customer service is abysmal now. Money before service mentality.
12 hours, 18 hours, 24 hours- however long bots play a day, this change does nothing to stop them.
Also, needing to blend in, are you kidding me? The entire reason we’re even having this discussion is because Blizz is doing nothing to actually identify and ban bots.
The guys that sit in the same instance for months on end, all day every day haven’t been touched- so no I don’t think they need to try very hard at all to ‘blend in’. And the trains of obvious hunters/mages walking by the dozen in uniform lines like they’re sand people is about as obvious as can get.
These bots don’t try to blend in because they don’t have to, they’re openly flaunting to the rest of us how inept Blizz is at stopping them.
Yup, this. I’ve had way better experience with GMs on less than reputable servers than I have in WoW for years. The ones that actually show up and talk to you and help you, and genuinely care.
They can spend some money to ban the bots and make players happy, OR they can not spend money and hurt some players and do little to impact bots but sew division in the playerbase to distract from the real issue not being addressed.
I never post on the forums but I feel I have to state my objection to this change. This isn’t going to solve the problem of botting at all. A change like this proves to me that the developers dont understand how classic wow plays at all. With this change you will only end hurting the player base and not the botters.
Botters will just end up leveling characters on multiple realms, most of them already have. Another thing is that they will just open up more accounts, which they already have quite a few, which is the positive side for you as you get more subs.
You guys seriously need to start understanding how your games are played. This is why most of your community is against you. You guys keep pushing changes that are down right dumb and only make sense from a business stand point.
You dont want to spend extra money to improve the quality of your game by hiring more Game Masters that can investigate and punish cheating. Instead you just punish your whole player base for it? That sounds really dumb and basically shooting yourself in the foot.
It’s effecting everyone; it pushes more people into the open world that’s already over crowded making a drought in gold for the overall player base.
It also means herbs and crafted items will go up because you have more competition resulting in longer farming session and not all of them are going to sell of theirs.
The instances actually helped a lot in terms of economy and open world farming, but now that’s ruined.
Don’t call it classic and change things at will. From how BG queues work to this I’m about to cancel both of my subscriptions. You musta delegated to your retail douchebags. Leave things alone.
Call it Wow Remix, because you’re screwing the pooch on a “classic” version.
Trash change by trash development team. What the hell you think this is gonna fix? Bots are just gonna switch to other activities and pour out into open world. You’re still not gonna ban them, cause you’re you and you’re incapable of actually making the right decision as long as it hits your bottom line.
The way I read it, if my mage and lowbie alt form a raid group and my mage goes to ZG, then each time I reset, both my mage and my alt will contribute to my 30 instance total (the alt being in the group only to reset the instance). That means it’d be ridiculously easy to get locked out of all instances on all of my toons in just 3 hours (at least it will be once I get better at the ZG runs - that bridge jump is nowhere as easy as the videos make it appear). If I accidentally lock myself out of my guild raids, I will not be happy.
It’s not ENOUGH but it’s a start. Limiting ZG/ZF/multibox spammers is good. Nerfs the mage economy a bit, nerfs the fugked up boosting bullshhit that people do to level a bit. I’ll take it.
