My main concern with this is simply bot displacement. If after 6 hours, they get kicked out of the dungeons they are farming. Then they will farm out in the world, black lotus and other stuff. So it may be just shifting the problem to a different area of the game.
So players are just out there spending 15 bucks a month on a product they dont use and a botter stole that account in order to make a mage that is going to farm all the content you just litsted?
Or are they instead opening accounts cause its cheaper to buy the game than it steal an account and make a botting character on it.
I mean the math is clear. Stolen accounts get gold stolen not botted. New accounts get Botted because they have a clean trail.
Bad move Activizzard! Sad!
bots have unlimited accounts. they get banned, create new account, and continue to automate bot scripts. This is a lazy change that seems to hurt actual players more than anything. You got bots that go into zg, fly straight up and kill everything while air walking. Apparently that’s okay, just not more than 30 times a day lol.
Wheres all the people clamoring for Classic+ instead of TBC
I hope you all feel silly now looking at how they handle things.
You were always silly for wanting this version of Blizz to extend classic. Yall crazy.
up the cap to 50 and I think its a wonderful change even to balance the hardcore farmers and botters, 30 is too few imo.
bots will pick up the slot, because now they need 4x the amount of bots to farm the same amount of time as before.
Oh fun fact because there are 4 different accounts doing it now it will be 4x harder for blizzard to figure it out since they wont be able to see a account thats been logged on continuously for more than 6 hours.
Stupid change
this change is super out of touch with the actual state of botting in classic. gold sellers will swap realms to maximize their daily profits. this won’t reduce the number of botters much (if any) at all.
all this does is hurt legitimate players who enjoy spending all day farming. stop policing the wrong things.
Already did, we had tons of accounts between us, Blizzard needs to be financially punished to learn not to make such stupid changes.
I’ve easily ran over 30 in a day helping guildies do arena/anger forge runs. Or brd pickpocket farms. And DM farms
yes, this is bad because even if it takes 10 hours to hit 30 dungeon cap there are still 14 hours in the day that you could be farming and missing out on.
This is probably the absolute STUPIDEST thing you have done in Classic, and there have been many stupid things you have done. All you are doing is forcing bots to make more accounts and farm on various realms, meanwhile ACTUAL PLAYERS now have to count how many instances they have done between all their characters??? Are you kidding us???
I don’t particularly understand the benefits of this change, so I’m not really “in favor” of it.
Assuming 5 instances/hour, that’s like 6 hours a day. I suppose this could reduce some 24 hour/day bots, if that is its intention, but it seems like there are a lot of side-effects that will negatively impact legitimate players.
I can’t express enough how bad of a change this is for several more hardcore players quality of life. Hitting 30 instances in a day is near nothing when boosting yourself up, doing mara farms for gold as a beginner, etc. DM:E Farming etc. While I do agree with the intentions of the change this is also affecting legitimate players quite significantly. I think 50 might be a better number but 6 hours of farming is not too much, and its per account basis.
No, it’s not even addressing the botting problem. They do not like people boosting and that’s what this targets. This effects people that want to play the game and have already done the 1-60 multiple times.
This is an absolute bullbird change on Blizzard’s part and it is costing each and every player access to Azeroth. Simply because you’re too lazy to find and catch relatively obvious bots does not make it okay to decide everyone has to pay a pound of flesh to fix the problem. Just making it easier for me to quit.
This hurts your player base more than the bots. They will find a work around this, the players won’t. Did you guys even think for a second that you could ya know ban bots to fix the issue with bots?
So what happens if you’re gearing up alts and get trolled in dungeon groups with people leaving instances and/or failed groups? Are we forced to wait another day to try again? This doesn’t seem to be an appropriate way to combat botting accounts. You might as well put personal loot and force 100% drops for gear and rare mob spawns if we’re going to start implementing crazy changes like this.
I’m not trying to judge others either.
I don’t want to tell you not to farm 31 instances in 7 hours of your game play if that’s what you enjoy.
I agree.
But, eventually, the bots will have to be set to farm something else or log off, giving room for players in queue to log on.
spending 7 hours reseting a dungeon
quality of life.
pick one.
Big yikes.
