This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. First of all, it’s obviously a change in a game where they’ve famously said “No Changes!”. This does nothing to stop botting, when a bot reaches 30 locks outs they’ll simply swap to characters on the same account, but different server and continue.
Blizzard/Activision, have managed to run less stable servers than 3 Russian people could run from their basements, and not done a thing to stop the rampant botting.

This is a garbage @##$@% change! The only people you will hurt are the actual players that play your @#$@#4 game. Holy @#%% hire some people to ban the #$%$%^^@ bots. Activision after the cheapest fix they can find again all about the $ not the player.
You shouldn’t be implementing short-sighted solutions that hurt the majority of legit players. 30 unique instances per day is a joke to botfarms, who can easily spread that across multiple accounts.

You would have to hit the 5 dungeons per hour cap for 6 hours in one day before the new restrictions kicked in. And honestly chances are if you’re running that many dungeons what you’re doing isn’t legit.
Another joke at a “fix”. Boosting SM is 5g per door. Full party is 20g. You’re still allowing 600g per day to be made off of boosting. Boosters will just make a new account…most already have multiple accounts. Why not actually FIX the problem. Tank the xp gains from a 60 in your party, unless you’re 50+.
Dudes… they said its per realm. so now the 5 instance per hour lock, is across all your toons, so you are not able to swap toons and do 5 more. you will have to wait 1 hour ish to be able to do dgs again on another toon, and so on, so these timers will be way more then 6 hours for the 30, and they 24 hour period will start to let you do things again, counting from the first dg or raid lock… this sux for ppl with multiple alts…
This does not address botting or queues.

So clearly the aim here is to stop Botting. This punishes legitament players by limiting their effort to farm.
Botters it will have minimal effect on as it is only realm wide. They could just bot on 4 different servers and do 120 a day which was the current lock out anyway.
Blizzard spends so much time on retail but doesn’t give a stuff about classic and just does easy bandaid fixes like this to problems.
This just shows how little blizzard cares about classic and their incompetence to just stop botting

can someone make a weak aura for 30 instances in 24 hours? so i dont lock my main out for raiding?
You think the bot will just stay logged in waiting for the restriction to pass?
Blizz, this does not solve the botting problem. This will not help. All this does is hurt no-lifers like me who like to farm a lot. The botters will swap to their next account and continue farming away like nothing changed. This is not a solution.

Wait, doesn’t that mean people doing SM Arm/Cath runs will hit their limit in 3 hours?

Anyone who thinks this actually harms bots doesnt really understand whats going on. They will just use more accounts. Meanwhile if I want to farm savage glad chain or hoj, or just solo farm gold you are limiting me to only 6 hours a day of play time. Why are you hurting legitimate players and not the actual botters? I mean I ZF farmed for 20 hours one day just to chill because I didnt want to sell boosts. Princess farmers hunting dagger as well are now going to be limited.
Imagine blizz making a change that harms the normal player and not the actual people who are botting. Impressive.

Also 40 man raids should not be included in this lockout or it’s gonna cause alot of trouble. No one farms gold in 40 man raids anyway, only bloodvine in zg

Can we get a reply on this ? I really don’t see how this helps the community, you are actually hurting it, and if anything this just means there will be more bots in the open world, outside of instances, since you’re not going to ban them.

oh that’s right, they are boosting all three dungeons then reseting. oh no rip boosters.
I believe that SM’s wings are still considered one large dungeon. So as long as you reset after you do both then you’ll be fine.
Ooof my lasher farming. Glad that I get punished for other players using bots.

no there’s bot farms that are running because they make more money in wow selling gold then they would working a real job in there countries.
Its sad as hell but it is what it is. look it up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSWhkOQR66s he talks about it
Now if its your job to make as much money from wow as possible farming and theres a dungeon bot that will do the hard work for you then you use the bot.
If blizzard wanted to really hit them they’d release the wow token in classic to cut off external sites from selling gold to players and keep it all in house.
Would have to be one specifically for wow classic though since the inflated prices of retail wouldnt be realistic here
If i remember correctly the wow token was specifically designed to combat botting in retail or am i wrong there?
Literally what is the point of this Blizzard? You do realize that the botters have MULTIPLE accounts so it harms them way less than it does to your ACTUAL players who farm gold legitimately, right? All this does is just encourage more people to buy gold. This is completely pathetic. If these bots didn’t pay a sub, they would be instantly banned just like private servers did to botters hackers and whatnot. This is a completely pathetic change and just shows how lazy you are, and how little you care about the classic community.
Edit: And for those who don’t think this is bad, what if you’re doing jump runs or selling zg runs or something before raid day, and then you can’t go raid? You can only do 30 jump runs in 1 day now, which take like 10-20 minutes each. How are we supposed to farm gold now? or even stuff as helping your buddy get his sgc/hoj?
