New Instance Limit in WoW Classic

I don’t think so but carry on.

So actually what you are saying is you refuse to ban bots and actually punish the rest of the community. Real smart and great idea. You guys are not being lazy at all.

Please rethink this limit. This change effects legit players in a negative way. Maybe increase the limit by double but I would still prefer unlimited instances just incase.

what the crap is this garbage? This does zero to stop botters and it screws over legit players. I’m extremely frustrated with this lazy approach. I’ve been reporting the same Stratholme botters for months…MONTHS and zero bans. ZERO!!! Now I have to count how many times I’ve been in an instance in a day?

Let’s see…15 SM boost runs…5 arena/golem farms…5 jump runs…now I have to be careful if I want to do a few scholo’s or a ZG or maybe i want to reset UBRS a few times for Jed. I’m going to be LOCKED OUT FOR THE DAY. I’m so pissed right now.

do you think limited daily instance resets is somehow going to prevent a player from fly-hacking through zul’gurub? please explain how.

Who knew Blizzard was more incompetent than the US’s current administration. This would be a lot like if they came out tomorrow with a ban on all mobile phones. After all, they didn’t see police brutality as a problem until people got mobile phones… so getting rid of the phones will deal with the problem! Right?

Calm down, I never said it was going to fix, anything. I just said I don’t think Blizz is 100% focusing on -just- Bots.

this messes up fishing for any mob 30 resets easy when fishing for jed

Yes, you said they were focusing on ‘exploits’. I’m asking you to explain how this ‘fix’ prevents either botting, or exploiting.

I can’t wait for the players to actually take action against blizzard.

like… ACTUALLY fight with your wallet. they dont give a crap about what you think.

No, I said they’re not -just- focusing on Botters, but those who Exploit (not just Botting), as well. Some (not all) of the Community seems to think Blizz is focusing on -just- Bots. I’m not getting that vibe.

Awful change, I have several subscriptions and while I don’t farm nearly to the extent most gold farmers do, this will hurt my ability to play with my more casual friends. Say I want to farm MCPs/Jed/SGC/HoJ/etc, for however many hours I want, I need to save my instance lockouts for MC/BWL/ZG, then when I hit 30 I am locked. When my casual friends log on in the evening hours, I suddenly have to tell them we can’t do deadmines/stockades/etc together as a group because I am instance locked because I like to play.

Additionally, imagine I do 15 SM boosted runs on an alt to level myself, then I help my guildie do 5 runs for SGC/HoJ, then help my friend farm DM:E for Thunderfury crystals, then need to farm at least a MCP or two for my raid, I am suddenly locked from my BWL raid later that evening because I helped people?

How about if I do all my 6 hours of farming from midnight to 6am server time, then I am locked for my raid later at 8pm because its in the same-day instance lockout?

You can sadly do nothing with in-game issue because you sing a contract allowing them to do what they want with you.

You can choose not to play then. I suspect there will be a group of folks who will move on to something else. Sad really.

So any word on if this is going to actually be applied now that it has about a 95 percent disapproval rating statistically based on the responses and the likes given to the original post, and the fact that it hasn’t been stickied? Or will they roll it out anyway and then revert it 2 months from now after enough people spam the forums like with the BG queue change they came out with before that litterally no one asked for?

This definitely hurts instance farming. Which, quite honestly, isn’t a good thing.

Hi Blizz,

Remember when you removed layers the second time, then realized that was pretty stupid and reverted it?

Yeah, well - while I don’t personally agree with layers - that shows you can revert that which is considered bad by many.

Try that move again.

this is greed masquerading as incompetence

This is 100% aimed at screwing over players.

Bots will just have a bot on 4 realms per account, and every six hours switch realms. They’ll make the same amount of gold, make as more if not more money off it, and farm just as much without having to make any more accounts to do so.

This does 0 to bots, but it massively effects hardcore players, it effects the thousands of players in the hundreds of raid guilds per server.

This change only benefits bots and Blizzard’s pockets, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. Blizzard is lazy, greedy, and now that they’re helping bots it’s fair to say their motive is either because they’re running bot companies themselves now, or they’re going to try to use this 'fix’es failure to cull bots as an excuse to push tokens into the game.
