So you think that effecting players that have real subs to the game and put in their time to play this game should be impacted by blizzards failure to implement a system that stops botting in its tracks?
This is bad…don’t be bad…
You know what would also help identify botters? Paying 1 person to type /who strat /who dm /who zg. Having that same person go around to every zone looking for every hunter with a chinese named boar pet. That would accomplish more then this trash change that effects people who aren’t bots.

Removed my reply, I see. Allow me to try again.
Dear Blizzard;
Stop trying to ruin this.
We asked for so long for Classic, because we hated the direction you took.
And now, you see fit to stuff this down our throats as a “fix” when all it does is screw over actual people.
It doesn’t fix botting, because botters use tokens they got from botting.
They simply open more accounts and keep botting.
Stop trying to alienate your fanbase(Again) and actually BAN the botters and cheaters, instead of forcing those of us NOT cheating and botting to be subjected to these tyrannical heavy handed tactics.
That’s not true, bots have unlimited play time per day they do not however unlimited resources across the board. If as people claim botters will just quadruple their number of bots well that takes 4x as many resources to do to maintain the same amount of income.
And then what? Ban everyone in strat, dm, and zg?
Botters would never be able to get around this?
It’s called opening your eyes. It’s incredibly easy to identify someone who’s scripting. The movement is the same, the route is the same, the cheating is the same.
Blizzard currently has no system in place to remove bots other then “right click report” which is currently not working.
Thank you for breaking the population balance on Earthfury by mishandling the server transfers from the Incendius offload. You tripled the horde population of the server in less than 24 hours. Now our only option to farm safely is to do it in instances…but you took another lazy route and punished the non-botters.
It makes them have to level characters on a few different servers… thats really it. Not to mention it doesnt address the fact blizzard somehow has a worse anti cheat than private servers
Add to that, a BFD run if you’re a mage and want to get that buff.
Its super hard to detect mages named asd, jdsajsad, and ijlkfdgjlkfdg in Strat /who is impossible to do. Its also impossible to see if something moves in the same path every time. I sent literal videos of pvp bots to hacks@blizzard.com of bots and guess what? They are still in game. Cant detect the ones zoning into the Den or just stealing from the gy to the stump in WSG. A video of it happening for 10 minutes till loss isnt proof.
This is literally one of the worst changes you could have possibly made…GG Blizzard. You are to lazy to fix the actual problem by developing your “anti-cheat” engine, so instead you punish the entire player base and dictate how we choose to play the game by time gating content. You did not think this through. I hope you get flamed over and over and over for this stupid decision. Whoever is making these decisions need to step down. This doesn’t solve the botting problem. This simply hurts your loyal player base. Good luck!
BIG TRUE. Private servers handled these things much better than blizz ever has.
uh… what? please don’t make this change… how about just ban the botters?
Small Indie Company
Yea its really tough to believe that blizzard cant out do amateurs
What a joke. Activision has been sinking this ship since day one. Milk us while you can because you’re basically doing the same damage you did to retail wow, just a lot fast in classic.
You have to start somewhere. And botting is by far the biggest problem in the game. If you see issues, report away, no one is stopping anyone. But, I can tell you from my experience, nothing is done as far as I can see. But I’m just a simple paying player of sub-par capabilities.
inb4 people can’t raid because they accidentally overcapped on dungeons…
