You’re right, sometimes you could get 15 a day!
Uh, you do realize making it per realm means it ONLY hurts real players because bots will just bot on multiple realms?
Is this going to affect SM Cath/Arms booster? Even increase their price?
By quickly you mean in 6 hours?
You know all your characters on a realm already share the 5 instance per hour lock right?
So, instead of doing YOUR JOB and getting rid of the bots that YOU CREATED by allowing netease to add wow token to their Chinese wow client you punish the rest of us. DO YOU JOB AND GET RID OF THE BOTTERS!@! Stop punishing the rest of us for YOUR MISTAKES! now we cant farm instances on raid nights b/c it might get us locked out of our raids…

It’s almost like Bliz doesn’t actually care about botters (who are primarily out in the world farming resources) and instead didn’t like that people could boost their chars without questing past level 10. Once again, the game developers punish people who actually play the game and ignore the real problem.
Everyone plays the game differently. If you choose to spend 48 hours in Gnomer every week, then I’d be curious how many alts you can actually play. Maybe I’m wrong and you play 18 hours a day split between gnomer in your main, and other dungeons on an alt. If so then yes, this will negatively affect you.
That being said it’s still a big change to help combat botting and the portion of the player base that will be negatively impacted the most is a very very small. I’m all for it.
Thats exactly they’re going to do, and blizzard thinks we’re all too stupid to notice this change will only result in MORE bots, not less.
im reliving the vanilla experience, not your private server experience
It does the moment you consider people running for Manual Crowd Pummlers or Rogues doing Speed Runs for a piece of gear they need.
Can Blizzard answer me one question? WHY CAN’T YOU AFFORD GAME MASTER SUPPORT FOR CLASSIC?
Is it because you are LOSING MONEY selling WoW Tokens for gold???
It seems like every decision you make is to compensate for the lack of Game Master support for both Retail and Classic WoW… Maybe selling your subscriptions for in-game gold as a way to combat bots was actually a terrible decision. You guys have been bleeding out millions of dollars just to get rid of bots from your own game, when you could actually hire a few technical engineers to solve those issues for your company instead of tanking your 20 year old flagship franchises…
I think this will be the last patch that I play before AQ40 launches so I can see how bad Blizzard has ruined a 15+ year old MMO just like they did with Warcraft 3. You guys are committing financial suicide for your company atm… it’s sad to watch.
This will have little impact. Botters will simply make more accounts to get around the limitation. It will only cause server queues to go up. BAN THE BOTS.
You need to ask players before you make these massive changes. This is an awful idea. Bots will just make more accounts, you’re punishing real players. Listen to your damn community. Just ban the bots.
This is the first blue thread I’ve ever liked! Nerf boosts, get more out of your product Blizzard!
Sorry but…kinda dumb. I can see why you did this though. Takes little to no actual effort.
Well, did not know that. Regardless, 30 instances per day is really not enough for endgame players.
brb gonna go do arena farms trying for sgc, then I won’t be able to join raid because of it LMAO GJ BLIZZ
So basically you’re telling me to unsub? Ayy no prob.
Blizzard is going this for one reason MONEY, they want a game of bots, more bot accounts and subs! not for the players
So the playerbase is getting punished for the actions of botters…
with a change that will make close to no impact on the botters, and instead only force them to pay for more wow subscriptions and open up more accounts…
Amazing how blizzard can create a solution that systematically doesn’t solve the core issue, pisses off the player-base, AND makes them more money…
Just. Wow.
This is the worst change. This will encourage botters to create more accounts and punish real players for playing the game. This is the laziest “solution” possible. Instead of paying someone to IP ban botting accounts with surgical precision, blizzard drops a nuke on everyone farming to keep up with the botted economy. Now a player could do boosts or jump runs on an alt then be locked out for raid on their main later that day. Blizzard please withdraw and reconsider this change and take a more proactive approach that doesn’t involve blanket automation as part of the solution.
