New Instance Limit in WoW Classic

I did the math at 1/5 drop rate. If it’s 1/3, then you’ll get almost 60 MCPs a week. Lol

Good one!
But you know you should actually start banning the bots nonstop until they start losing more money from resubscribing than they win from gold selling.
Or find out all the creative ways they use to trade the gold and monitor it more strictly.
For gods sake get your GMs to patrol around the zones during their working day and straight away ban the accounts of all these bots who’ve infested the lands of Azeroth.

it really is more like 20%, so you’re saying were not allowed to have alts? we need a separate account for them just so we can run dungeons at all

Make it 15 and I’ll call it a deal.

30 is asinine and you know it. No one could do 30 instances in 24 hours.

By the way if you’re doing 15 dungeons, let alone 30 in 24 hours…

Go outside. Take a bath. Take an hour break. These dungeons in 2006 were not designed to be ran 24/7. Blizzard, not Blizzard-Activision, designed an entire open world for “WORLD” of Warcraft with clear intent to have you in the open game world. It’s beyond abuse that players take to exploiting the instances that are meant to take 45 mins to 1-4 hours, and live inside them or farm them for gold.

For example why is it that raids are one lockout a week but yet instances can be farmed 30 times per 24 hours each 7 day week? This still does not stop bots, it just slows them down.

Enrich the game world and make an answer to the players that say there’s nothing to do in Vanilla at 60, limit the dungeon cap at 15 per 24, and severely handicap XP when a 60 is in the party, then allow Vanilla players to embrace the game world.

If the intent was for ActivisionBlizzard to encourage bored 60s to play Retail through emerging lack of content and incentives, no one will do that, because beyond retails lore and gratification being destroyed, the many 120 subsystems and also RNG of Visions(yet another subsystem) is so vile and off putting that it isn’t an answer any vanilla gamer would take. I reiterate, eliminate the excessive botting, lower the dungeon lockouts further, force players to explore the world, add long term vanilla content to the game that can keep players on the vanilla roller coaster, and at that preferably content that doesn’t make existing content useless/replaceable. Raid logging is another near and relevant-to-lockouts problem.

Kevin Jordan said there was 50 instances originally planned for Vanilla, and an entire raid zone in the Emerald Dream that was intended to mirror EQ Plane of Nightmare. Start by reviving those cut content plans and use them as horizontal non vertical gameplay to offer a different vehicle for players to use to make gold instead of farming dungeons or buying WoW gold from third parties.

So instead of banning the botters you just want to limit the gold that they bot and keep their sub money… okay good to know.

Now I’m unsubbing. Make your pick blizzard, you can have a game of players or a game of bots, everyone should unsub until they actually take action.

Who the HELL is even liking this post? NOTHING ABOUT THIS IS GOOD. This means our daily dungeon limit for EVERY character on our account is down from 120 (5 per hour) per character to 30 for EVERY character. If you do multiple dungeon clears a day to farm gold, you’ll quickly hit this cap, then be unable to farm instances on your other characters.

This is legitimately the worst decision I think they’ve made for the game, the second being removing layering and not adding dynamic respawns to make the open world resources enough for the server population.

Unfortunately this won’t help much against botting, if at all. It’ll negatively affect legitimate players, though. Good job, Blizzard!

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm sweety?

farming dire maul east… that’s about 5 runs an hour… so if I farm for an hour a day each week i’m not going to molten core or blackwing lair i guess? and I better not accidentally walk into wailing caverns on an alt either cause I might get gkicked for not being able to raid

So now bots will just make more accounts to farm even more than legitimate people. Great change Blizzard

This doesn’t solve anything.

It’s Blizzard admitting that they don’t want to or can’t take action directly against the bots.

LOL, there goes the arena runs for SGC

so we’re supposed to do MCP farming every 24 hours, no other dungeons, nothing else, just locked into doing this???

Will be known as one of the worst changes implemented alongside layering. Nice work! /s

Its a win win for them! The apologists will shriek “THEY TRIED GUYS”, and blizzard collects even more money.

Meanwhile, bots continue to run rampant and multiply at alarming rates.

This is a terrible change. Botters will just add new accounts to bot with. This will barely affect them. Who this does affect is the actual player who boosts dungeons or pays for dungeon boosts. Imagine boosting during the day on one of your chars and then logging onto your main and being locked out of raid because you boosted for 5 hours. I am not saying boosting is right or wrong, that is a whole other discussion, what I am saying is this affects actual players way more than it does bots.

Dont boost your alts or you will be locked out of your raid, lol.

120 (5 per hour) per character

It’s always been an account-wide 5 instances per hour. Still a terrible change, don’t get me wrong.

It could take me a half hour or more to do higher level instance. And then there’s Real life. Non botters doing DM will run 15 instances in 3 hours. If you don’t have real life after that, maybe you should.

This is a stupid fix to combat botting. Like, actually seriously for real incompetent.

For the love of god, revert this. This only hurts players vs Botters.
