people still buy boosts in retail. and guess what? boosters aren’t burdoned by this.
instead of running dungeons all day on character x on serverx, they instead farm for 3 hours on character a on server a, change to server b, repeat, change to server c, repeat, change to server d, repeat
while 3 other coworkers do the same.
transmog, mounts, pets, all disagree.
Botanica says hello
you’re hardcore for them not denying you flying. you want it as soon as you hit level cap. you’re against pathfinding. all because it prevents you from playing the game the way you want.
why is it that you’re okay with this change which denies people the ability to play the way they want.
Dude again, some people are farming raid instance without killing any bosses. other farm RTV in DireMaul the same way. Stop thinking like a no brainer a bit and grow up!
And for 16 years that was allowed. BoE runs were very much a thing. In Wrath people ran rep runs for their rings all the time. Until 4 days this was considered normal.
Its good you’re ok with Blizzard dictating how you spend your time in game though
Ha. This is righteous, I agree that Blizzard can do whatever they want without any amount of transparency, but it is very odd that they chose to post this on their forums… with the ability for people to comment on it.
Blizzard benefits greatly from making changes to the game that benefit the player base - regardless of transparency. If you want to argue that this is beneficial go ahead - but don’t tell me that Blizzard won’t benefit from being more transparent about what is an obviously controversial change.
what pathing exploits are there for a mage who runs into DM and aoes down lashers for 5 minutes and collects a bunch of herbs? or someone who aoe farms SM for cloth?
Yeah, but those types of changes bring us back to the whole #nochanges debate. I’m actually pretty OK with those changes being added to instances - with a clear post from Blizzard explaining their reasoning.
What I’m getting out of this post is that Blizzard put in the least amount of effort possible - and ultimately didn’t care enough about the actual exploits to put in the time and effort to fix them, but rather are saying that ‘you can only “exploit” for 6-7 hours a day’.
And again, please understand, I have never hit the 30 instance limit - but try to step into the shoes of someone else for a second and understand why they might be slightly upset over how Blizzard is going about this.
So right in your posts so far. Transparency could have been the key between this being a good change and a bad change. Maybe they have a really good reason for this. We may never know.
If a month ago they gave us a notice what they are considering certain exploitative game play that they want to reduce, be it dungeon boosting, rare fishing, or whatever, we would have come up with some great suggestions with minimal impact. Maybe we would have even gotten to the 30/day limit. Maybe we still wouldn’t like it, but it is a lot easier to take change when understanding why its happening.
As of now we are all just handing on what “exploitative” means.
well flying leads directly to further inflation in retail wow. so if you’re concern is inflation, i’m going to have to ask you to call for the removal of flying in retail.
At this point they only thing we can deduce with actiblizzard action is we are not worth blizz time to give us feedback, we are not worth to invest money to make the game better and biggest of all they do not care at all.
So what did we learn they do not care and will just try to milk money even more.
