New Instance Limit in WoW Classic

For the love of god at least make it so you can’t get locked out of 40 man content (BWL/MC/Ony). The fact that if I chose to spend my weekend farming I run the risk of messing up and getting locked out of raid is extremely poor game design.

This is absolutely ridiculous.

Botters will just flip servers to keep going. This is only going to hurt actual players.

Shape the ef up blizz.

I normally can’t stand massive walls of texts but yours was full of such vitriol and ended with a quote from Magtheridon that made yours quite epic.

Address the real issue. Improve your botting defenses and ban them. Actiblizz has mishandled WoW Classic from the start with server numbers.

This change should be rolled back. It negatively affects semi-casual players and weekend warriors. If Blizzard insists on moving forward with this terrible idea then it should be changed to 210 instances within 7 days instead of 30 within 1. This still would do nothing to hinder bots, but at least it wouldn’t affect those with limited play time as severely.

Lets be clear, guys. People are definitely focusing on how this was designed to stymie botting. You all know that this was to punish mages using pathing exploits in dungeons as well if not explicitly. “Exploitive behavior”.

But it punishes everyone, even those that aren’t exploiting or botting.

Blizzard bans bots, they lose money. Blizzard hires GMs to handle this issue, they lose money.

They limit instances, they earn money. Think about how many more days people will have to spend farming a piece of gear now. They’ll have to subscribe for longer. Think about how much longer it’ll take boostees to reach 60. Longer subs inc! It’s greed. Pure and simple.

They’re greedy and shortsighted. The company is flat out terrible.

Several farms do not exploit pathing though.

True, but lots of them do. Mara pulls, ZG pulls, SM cath pulls, even Hydrospawn in DM E.

(Edit)I don’t disprove of people using these farming methods at all. It takes a lot of time and skill for actual players to learn the timing and paths required to make it happen. I actually considered leveling a mage just to try Mara, it looks like fun.

Can anyone confirm its email wide and not account wide? I got 6 accounts under the same bnet account, basically if little timmy is playing on one account and he decides to reset the instance a lot of times will it lock me out on my account?

I am 100% certain due to this just mirroring the CN change that’s all they did. Looked at what CN was doing, liked that the instance change cost them nothing, didn’t like that spending time banning bots would cost them something and just went with one.

This reminds me of the Diablo Immortal, they likely knew a mobile Diablo would be a big seller in CN but didn’t realize much like now that NA and CN are completely different markets, and trying to treat them the same is going to backfire hard.

This. I don’t want to have to stress that I’m not going to be able to enter my guild’s main raids. If I get the “too many instances” when I try to go to UBRS or even ZG… whatever - but if I suddenly see that entering BWL? Messed up.

ooooh cool you’re right it helps them detect bots while simultaneously punishing playing who, at this time, are stuck at home because of quarantine and CAN EASILY play more than 6 hours a day on more than one character. BUT NOW it’s choose wisely which character you want to play today, bc after you play on that character you can’t play your other characters. not even go into a scheduled raid. GFG.

The 1/4 play time limit should cut our subscriptions fees by 1/4 then too.

  1. Per realm so presumably your 5 accounts on same realm / bnet would each use up a lock-out. If your running all 5 toons in the same instance you can now do 6 instances a day. Although if you where already doing this would not each instance have burned your 5 lockouts per hour?

  2. Raids are included.

  3. It resets 1hr/24hr from when you enter the first instance.

GUESS I BETTER START FARMING MANUAL CROWD PUMMLERS FOR AQ NOW. Yes I can hit that limit in under two hours of played time as a feral druid. F THIS WHAT HAPPEND TO NO CHANGES. I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS. I DONT HAVE THE BAG SPACE TO FIT ALL MY GEAR AND 50+ PUMMLERS. these were all well known far far far before classic was even a consideration by Blizzard, if they didn’t want people doing this, they had more than ample time to correct this before releasing the game.
