New Instance Limit in WoW Classic

Ban the bots, stop punishing your loyal playerbase and force us to do nothing but cry in this forum where none of our complaints will be heard.
The only way blizzard will get the hint is if we move on to another game sadly.
30 instances takes me roughly 6 hrs maybe 7 depending. Thats a typical saturday or sunday to me that is now capped. Sad when these botters can just implement a script that will switch the account.
Goodjob blizzard you limited one accounts farming capabilities per day. You still did not eliminate THE REAL ISSUE. Botters will just keep botting but now spread it across more accounts. FIX THE REAL ISSUE AND BAN BOTTING.

Well I’m sure I can come up with more examples.

Make a fire to stop an avalanche?
Build a tarp tent to stop a hurricane?
Bring a hand pump to stop a flood?
You get my idea

I used the idea of banning mobile phones to stop police brutality. Rather topical.

Very cunning, but reason with me!
Multibox is released (as long as you pay the number of accounts in the box).

A rush farm creates a multibox with 10 accounts.

10x30 = 300, I think you can understand where there is an error, right?

300 instances in 1 day, it’s worth it.

I mean i guess if you like paying more than its not a problem. But the matierals that you can get from DM have allowed the price of most things to stay low simply because of how much people farm them.

At the same time Boost runs are not unique in any way to WoW. The only difference is that people call them boost instead of Power Leveling. Though the term came from Boosting scores for Arena, the idea of boosting everything isnt that far off. To that end of they if a players is not botting and is playing the character they have found anovel way to make money. You may not like it but thats the nature of the game. Some people will want to get power leveled. If you think it ruins the community i have a news flash for you, this is what the community wants. They WANT to skip the leveling and get t othe end game on alts or farm characters or whatever. So if its bad its an opinion of how people play the game. I think people that camp Flight Masters to be bad but thats how they chose to play the game.

No doubt you can spend 12 hours and 60 resets farming Jed/arena/dme/mcp.
Can you still farm them in 5 hours ? yes.
If you enjoy wow you will find something else to do in the time you can’t spam resets.
spending 20-25 resets on farming and 5-10 on a raid or normal instance run is perfectly viable way to spend 8-12 hours of a day gaming.
This change seems targeted at boosters imo.

Going to add my voice to the chorus that doesn’t like this change. It does little to nothing to stop bots and either wrecks or sharply inconveniences a number of popular activities among the playerbase.

I don’t have blizzard’s metrics, but I don’t see the rationale for this change when there is a much better solution available. Just implement the WoW token.

Players who want to buy gold can buy WoW tokens legally. If gold buyers are buying it legally, there’s no market for the botters and the botters quit. Its how Retail solved its bot problem.

You can say that there wasn’t a WoW token back in vanilla, but there wasn’t a 30 instance cap back then either. The WoW token doesn’t impact players’ experience, so that change does more to preserve the original game’s experience than this arbitrary instance cap does. If Blizzard is willing to make changes to the game experience to solve the bot problem, then just make the change that would actually solve the problem.

It is both sadly.

That’s the issue, what if people choose to play that way though? As far as targeting boosters, they’ll only charge more and people will pay it.

I disagree with the change , I’m annoyed at all the ree’ing about how impactful it is to spend 6 hours instead of 12 farming an item.

Welp rogues just got a new way of making gold.

Use their resets to get a Jed instance ID.

Sell it for 200g.

You can now sell your 30/d lockouts as a source of income…

The reason they don’t just ban the bots and leave us alone is they want that $$. Doesn’t really scream that they care about their customer base.

I disagree with it based on the fact that it’s a 24 rolling reset instead of a specific time.
They didn’t implant an in game instance counter and they are tagging all your characters on your realm.

Literally all this is going to do is make the botters rotate realms every 30 instance lockouts. Does absolutely nothing to prevent botting and only hurts legit players (e.g. crowd pummeler farmers :sob: )

Hope this change is reverted asap.

Dude you are spitting straight fire.
Holy cow. Go easy on them.

Often times this isn’t even true. And the vast majority of bots, let’s say 85%, pay for their subscriptions. If Blizzard was actually concerned about this, then they would mandate every player use authenticators.

He said *under 20 minutes. Also what does it matter if someone wants to devote 10 straight hours of farming to one dungeon? They’ve paid their time for the month, what’s the issue?

im glad something is being attempted at least but to think we all pay 15$ a month for this is just sad

Anyone can locate Jed in the instance.
Druids have the biggest advantage , then rogues / hunters, but anyone can /target jed.

As nice as this idea is to “help stop botters” just right clicking on them and reporting them honestly does nothing. I’ve reported people with blantely offensive names weeks even months ago and they still have them. I’ve reported several botters several weeks and months ago…same end result. Reducing the amount of instances that can be ran isn’t going to hurt them because now were just going to see more botters outside of instances now.

Plus you’re really hurting those people who are grinding dungeons correctly. Yes 2/3 of the dungeon pop could be Botters and Powerleveling mofo’s but you’re also hurting the third of your subscription who are out their farming for gear and XP the right way. Instead of cutting off the instances how bout you implement better bot banning software. Hell even the Chinese WoW Classic team is destroying bots left and right while you guys over in the EU/US are just “Oh lets just limit the amount of dungeons they can do in a day.” Essentially if someones trying to farm for a BiS item like say HOJ they can now only farm for up to six hours a day and it has to be on that one character.

Sorry this is a Old Man rant about how you guys are just trying to band-aid a problem instead of actually fix the f&@3r.
