New in-game book "Progress Report: Uldorus"

From what I understand there might be more of these Titan lore books in the new Uldaman dungeon

Most of the drama is gone now. The psychotic liar will continue her rants to an audience of zero.

I just hope they don’t do like they did in Shadowlands and tease these books, only to then delete them from the actual game when it gets to live. They have a bad habit of doing that.

That would be neat.

I remember the Tazavesh books. I still haven’t actually picked those up in-game. I really should go do that.

I would say it becomes a problem when you lower yourself to insult or completely dismiss people who are quoting canonical sources that have remained that way over the years. And then say that you have no way to quickly access those sources even though a simple google search could get you access to them. Yes Blizzard tends to retcon on the seat of their pants. They have done so since WC2 and will continue to do so until WoW finally dies. And it will always be annoying, particularly when they do a bunch of retcons all at once to try and shoehorn a new character into the plot (e.g. Zovaal). However that does not mean that you can place your headcanon as the true canon. As I have seen others (usually those on GD) do exactly that.

Speculation is okay, it is part of the fun when discussing the lore. Taking some obscure thing and thinking on how that could be used to build into something major. I mean the best example of that would be the Dragon Isles. Originally cut from vanilla WoW, people have been speculating on what the Dragon Isles would be. Even more so when Blizzard confirmed that they might exist in BFA while Wrathion looking for them. And well, the Dragon Isles is the primary setting of the next expansion.

For me personally it would be Goriona from Dragon Soul. She flies away, leaving Warmaster Blackhorn to die. Something like that caught my attention. Why did Blizzard have Goriona fly away? The Twilight Dragonflight were loyal to Deathwing. Yet she flew away, leaving Deathwings primary bodyguard to die. Was it N’zoth? To ensure the Twilight Dragonflight could survive? Could be. But she would’ve made an appearance in Legion during the Shaman order Hall campaign or BFA if that was the case. Given that the reason why we continue to see Twilight Dragons in BFA was because a secret stash of eggs under Grim Batol recently hatched. Personally if Blizzard does bring her back, which is doubtful, I hope that she isn’t killed off for the sake of it. Otherwise having her survive Dragon Soul only to die the next time we see her would be disappointing. I like to believe that as she approached death, for a moment she broke free from N’zoths influence and fled on her own free will. Where she is living in self imposed exile. Having a Twilight Dragon on our side would’ve been cool in BFA tbh. Off-topic but I still reckon the Air Elementals should’ve been part of the Uldum Accord. As a call back to when they stood against the Old Gods and as a way to atone for their actions in Cata when they were led by Al’akir.

There is even a thread here about discussing what minor headcanons you have. It is fine to talk about headcanons and get exicted over them. However it needs to be made clear that they are just theories. When you try and discredit a canonical source as being wrong simply because it doesn’t align with your headcanon, that is where the line is drawn. At least for me. Just recently someone made a speculation thread about how would the void invade the Dragon Isles. They talked about the void flower we see at the end of the Emerald Nightmare raid and used that as the ‘this is how it will happen’ in their speculation. I pointed out how that flower was destroyed in BFA and they acknowledged that it was. Sometimes stuff like that can happen. I mean my headcanon that the First Ones are ducks (hence why we haven’t seen any, yet we have things like a rubber dunk fishing toy) got debunked the moment Blizzard announced Dragonflight. I still subscribe to that headcanon but I’m not going to throw a fit over it.

The First Ones hiding ducks on the Dragon Isles makes sense…nobody was ready for the Duck Inquistion until now!!

All hail your Ducky Overlords!!

((Sorry, couldn’t resist. But I agree 100% with what you’re saying))

That’s Renautus. You know how she handles disagreement.

That would have been awesome, especially if they had dialogue to the Farseer. Like Nobundo did during the Azerite chapter at the Maelstrom.

The wellspring is a source under Tyrhold.

Its not the WOE.

They said that the water of the Wellspring was tainted by Yogg Saron, and that Galakrond drank this and became corrupted.

I won’t lie rather than it being the old god yogg saron sololy I wished thay had used something like Murozond who could have been corrupted during Nozdormu’s time looking into the well of eternity during the war of the ancients books, during the prologue Nozdormu is diving into the well and talks about how he knows it’s secrets more than any other dragon and even than there are things he does not know. I would have loved for these things to be the current old gods (Which is hinted at when he is attacked in the chapter) and the attack that occures being when Nozdormu is corrupted creating his parallel self Murozond in another timeline the attack susceed and he became Murozond. With him being around the old gods even thou they are dead now during our time have access to the past present and future. Corrupting Galakrond thou Murozond rather than the life pools. Would have been fun imo.

Okay, so after being corrected by somebody else, it was actually Tyr who believed in uplifting the proto-Dragons., not the titans. I was confused.

iirc, It was Tyrs idea following the death of Galakrond. The other keepers (minus odyn) also agreed and they called upon the Titans to empower the would be Aspects. Which of course the titans did. So one could infer that the Titans did approve of the Aspects. Which is probably why Alexstrasza uses Eonar’s title of the Lifebinder as well. As a way to pay respect to Eonar. Whom empowered her and her sister via Freya.

There is also Murozond crying out to Aman’thul when we killed him. Believing that the Highfather would approve of his actions if he had seen the ‘true end time’ as well.

Congrats Gornur, you’re Youtube famous. You’re the third Story Forum poster I know with a post that made it onto a Youtube video, though the first one to actually get a Story Forum post on there.
