Losing the rep bonus for a shorter cooldown on your hearthstone and a second charge is useless. Maybe if this was classic wow, but utterly useless in retail. There’s no reason to hearth back to back within a 10 minute period. It’s a pathetic joke.
Edit: Someone else suggested allowing humans to able to set their hearth at two different locations, so you could hearth between the two and think that’s a much better alternative, and is actually useful.
I’d understand if we had otherwise pretty solid racials since plenty of races have 1 kind of useless racial, but on top of having less than every other race except Orc Will to Survive is among the worst active racials.
and The Human Spirit isn’t that amazing to make up for being our one useful racial.
Will to Survive is actually HUGE for pvp, but losing the rep bonus pisses me of because I’ve used my human to do all my rep farms and it just feels like a pointless removal, for something that is completely useless.

Even in PvP it’s in a pretty nerfed state compared to what it used to be when it freed up our second trinket slot.
I get why they wanted to remove Diplomacy when they were going to make rep account wide. I imagine they wanted to avoid a “meta” where everybody felt a Human alt was mandatory to do rep farms on. All the people now talking about “I only had my Human for rep farming” shows just how likely that was to have happened.
The problem is just that we only have 3 racials when most other races except Orc have 4+ and Will to Survive is still among the weaker actives.
Extra hearthing is incredible. I’m excited about it.
Just because it’s useless to you doesn’t make it useless to everyone.
I’ll trade you my 5% bonus exp from beast. The fact it has uses is still way beyond a lot of older racials.

I cannot imagine a situation where a ten minute hearthstone, your garrison hearth, dalaran hearth, capital city cape, etc are not sufficient and you need a 5 minute hearth.

I have a Dalaran Hearth, but that’s not getting me to Valdrakken without a bunch of extra steps.
No clue what the Garrison Hearth is gonna do for me.

Most of my toons just have a normal Hearthstone, and if it’s on CD, then I’m flying back.
Not long ago, folks were complaining about the lack of a portal from Emerald Dream to Valdrakken. It’s easy to hearth to Valdrakken, hit a portal to Emerald Dream, do the Superbloom…and now you get to fly.
It’s not the best ability ever or anything, but I think I’ll get a lot of use out of it. Definitely more than I ever got out of Diplomacy - because I never rolled a Human for grinding rep (in general, I don’t choose my race because of racials). I mostly do rep on my main…which is a Worgen.
I’d personally prefer if the human racial replacement was a second hearth spell with its own bound location so humans could have two different locations they could “hearth” to. One with the typical hearthstone and one with their racial.
Not every character is in a guild and has a 10 min hearth.
Superbloom is more than ten minutes, so it won’t matter there.
It’s literally competing with Explorer and Wisp Form for being the worst racial.
Just join a guild. If people have an issue with a 30 minute hearthstone, then there are solutions readily available. People avoiding that does not make this racial not absolutely terrible, and fundamentally a dead slot for one of the mere 3 racials humans still have.
This is the most troll response ever. please tell when you need to hearth twice within 10 minutes. Absolutely never. I’ll wait for your gold medalist, mental gymnastic response.
It’s only a dead slot to some people. There are plenty of people who for whatever reason do not want to join a guild. Maybe like me they are an alt, and joining a throwaway guild is too much of a hassle on a character you barely pug with, or maybe they’re just shy.
Kinda in the same vein as the rep bonus was helpful for some people, but for many that never cared about rep grinds wasn’t a noticeable racial at all.
Both racials cater to their own group of people. I understand that if you found the rep helpful but the hearth not than you dislike the change. But some people will find the hearth helpful and the rep not. I don’t think this is such a horrible change. Considering we are getting account wide rep, as well.
Account wide rep is not relevant to the human racial being awful.
One caters to people who want to hearthstone every 5 minutes or who want a long hearthstone CD anyway. The other was an actually useful reputation bonus that was applicable to every reputation in the game, and it was far and away the best racial that humans had. People not caring about it does not mean that it wasn’t leagues better than yet another hearthstone cd reduction.

I feel the same way, and I promise you I am not trolling. My perspective is as someone that is usually not in a guild, and that doesn’t do much in the line of rep grinds super-fast. There are those of us out there that will make more use of the hearth than the rep. I was just in a mop remix normal raid the other day and was stuck waiting about 8 min.(So I flew). That hearth would have been helpful there.
I understand why some would find it useless. If you are playing a character trying to become as powerful as possible in as little time as possible. You probably have a guild that already shortens your hearth, and you probably do like the extra rep. I see that this will hurt you somewhat.
But it isn’t a troll to say that other people exists.
