I don’t like the male changes much at all. The most apt description I’ve seen so far is “now all the male goblins look like John Travolta.”
Glad I don’t main a goblin any more.
I like the updates. I really like how they fixed the belts, and the long torso seems more proportionate now.
I checked out the barber shop but decided to keep my original look.
One thing I noticed (and I could be hallucinating) is that sometimes it appears there’s a 2nd joint between the wrist and elbow. Anyone else see a floppy hand at times?
No idea why the change. The WoW art team is very talented and should know about things like tone so I have to assume that this was either deliberate or given to someone else.

I think it was probably an unreasonable timeline and the the majority of the effort went into the female models. It’s like a movie that runs over budget and is great until the end.

Agreed. Blizzard, please make goblins “sleazy” again. That was the unique factor they had as a race. I never thought that they needed an update to begin with.

I don’t know, I think the models might have turned out better if they were actually outsourced to a dedicated team that didn’t deal with anything else. Warcraft 3 Reforged and Starcraft Remastered had their art outsourced, and they look pretty good.
The guy goblins are in keeping with Blizzard’s WoD model upgrades in that they suffer from sameface syndrome while losing a lot of personality. They even lost one of their injured ear options the same way the female forsaken lost their gruesome “skull face” option. Feels like Blizzard’s usual work in that area.

They did good with goblin gals but the guys need another rework. Their lips are too big and their craniums are too small.

You have to change the ears to get the different faces. Then the face type changes the lipsticks and such.
I really like the new Goblin models except one thing. They look slightly cross eyed. Now that I notice it, I can’t stop seeing it. I don’t think I can play a goblin because of it. Unless You RP as Gizzwizzle, the Cross-eyed mage.

This is clearly a case where Blizzard made a change just for the sake of change. I’m sure they agree that the new models are not great, but they promised new models, so they just released them anyway.

I personally love the new Goblin models! I just wish Blizzard would fix the females damn eyebrows though!

I completely agree. My goblin looks nothing like he did before. Yes, it still captures the spirit of the goblins as a race, but they lose the distinction between the faces.
The only real difference now is the eye color, every single face is fat-lipped and looks like a Skylander character.
My hope is that, like the other updates, they’re a work in progress and they’ll continue adding details in future patches.

Completely agree. They look way too friendly. All I can think of when I see them are those singing goblins in that Hearthstone ad. Just awful.

Some of the other models (Draenei if I recall correctly) had to undergo another rework after release because the models looked off. The reworks looked fantastic. I hope the male goblins will get the same rework. They just don’t look right @ all to me.

I wish they would have left the design of the male faces the same and just increased the detail. Maybe if they would have just added some more options but these faces are just flat out goofy looking! I look like I took the Kylie Jenner challenge now and my eyes are purple. . .

Male goblins always looked stupid, especially the vanilla goblin with its permanent grin. Male goblin do have those Jay-Z lips
