I personally think it’s ridiculous to link a physical item to a digital item in the gear shop. All in game cosmetics should be in the cahs shop or Trading Post or swap between them both.
I think players need to realize that WoW is no longer a game where getting every single collectible is a feasible thing to do. It was at some point in the past. That is no longer the case.
There are just too many items, too many limited time events, too many outside promotions, too many things in the trading post, etc, etc to keep up with it.
It’s not WotLK anymore.
Even if we cut out the weird external things there’d still be too many things just in-game to feasibly keep up with 100% of them. You’ve gotta accept that you won’t have a 100% collection.
I would say that the ability to collect things 100% stopped in 2009 at the latest. Possibly earlier. Depending on how you look at things with the Gate of AQ opening.
Correct, but when possible I think the goal should be to maximize the number of people who have the opportunity to get something. In this case they could have had a limited edition plush for $35 that came with the code along with selling the pet for $10 without the plush. 750 people would buy the plush out of the millions that play.
