New Fresh Start Realms with Wrath Classic

Let me know when you have GMs enforcing rules on these fresh servers.

Yeah… so this ruins it for me. Why would I would to play on a fresh start server having fun for 90 days then suddenly a bunch of people show up with 3+ year old characters and all the stuff that goes along with that?

Resetting gold and not having to compete with people who have been playing all of classic is the biggest draw of a fresh start, and it sounds really dumb to make it a short term thing.

Classify the Fresh start servers as something else, please. No boosts, no transfers. Full stop. Maybe allow people to transfer off if they want, but never onto them.

Edit: For emphasis, I’m halfway done grinding for the Insane. It’s been a really fun goal for me. If we had actual standalone fresh start servers, I would 100% abandon this toon for a fresh start. A ton of my friends would, because that’s just a more fun way to play, than spending all of TBC “prepping” for Wrath.

Imagine thinking this matters when the bots will already be selling gold by 90 days.

Fresh servers.

1000s of bots leveling.

No GMs.

No RDF in WOTLK.

These servers are 100% dead rofl.

I was against the idea because I consider this to break the community.
Since it is already there, I will support them having their realm so we can discuss later who was right and who was wrong.

All realms you mean, right

This is how it was when new realms were opened back in the actual classic era. Blizzard is likely doing the big corporation thing of “follow the playbook”.

I don’t mean to be rude, but that is too hopeful. If there’s no faction lock in place to keep them from tilting it will be the same deal all over again and then we’ll have dead servers that will need to be consolidated once again.

These people so against fresh start are the true snowflakes. They are not required to play in a fresh start server, but they still are against people having the choice. I wonder why?

I said it before in the big fresh start thread awhile ago, and I will say it again, these people so against fresh start keep saying that “no one wants it”, “there is no demand”, or “don’t waste resources on it”, but the big truth that these people want to say is “please Blizz don’t make a fresh start server because everyone will leave my failed server and obviously go to the fresh one and I’m afraid I will be left alone here”, because you are the true snowflakes against the OPTION and you always knew that there are a big demand for a fresh start server.

Now Blizz announce a fresh start and the first person complaining against it is basic saying “but my server will be empty if you do so”. What can I say? I KNEW IT.

Cool. This isn’t for me but I know quite a few people that said they’d come back if they did Fresh (Since they didn’t play Vanilla/TBC and don’t want to be behind)

These servers might die, and the 90 transfer date defeats the purpose, but at least my coworkers/friends can experience this the way they were wanting!

I am against and I have argued several times the reasons.
The reasons given by freshers are debunked in a simple debate. Just now, on this thread, again.

However, since it is happening, let them have it, but I wish they are also locked within their choice with no server transfer out of there, and let us discuss later who was right and who was wrong.

Well, yes, all realms. But ESPECIALLY the fresh realms. There’s no way I am going to level 1 to 80 without RDF.

It’s funny that the few people who actually wanted this got their wish… but radio silence on all the other issues that are being discussed.

If it isn’t released at the right time, it could very well start in a rough spot.

Back in Vanilla, they released new servers before TBC, I believe it had prepatch enabled because I recall fiddling with Jewelcrafting.

I dabbled on a few characters, and THE MOMENT Outlands was accessible, it became a ghost town. Everyone went back to their mains. You could search the AH in a few pages. Maiev was the server.

Perhaps it will be different this time. Most folks have seen the expansions.

Trust me, it is possible and doable.
If you have friends willing to lose their time leveling a character on a soon-to-be-dead-realm that is ok level with you, that can be a lot of fun.

I really want RDF also, but imagine the fun forming a gank squad and punishing the fresh levelers at key choke points in redridge/duskwood/ect

I also like that they’re having the 1-80 fresh experience, and not starting at 58 with a pre-boosted character.

It will be like vanilla relaunch, with a “queue” to complete the quests in Valley of Trials and Goldshire.

Why would you announce this now when people are rolling new toons for wrath and prepping for wrath? The smart move is to announce Fresh Classic to Wrath trilogy with timelines after Wrath Classic was done or getting to end. This is how you do a TLP properly… You dont just throw in a pop up fresh server.

People have been prepping for wrath since classic. Some started in Classic TBC.
You can transfer your goods 90 later if you want to have a boost in your characters funds.

What’s with the like hatred towards fresh starts
servers and all these debunked theries fresh starters have said?

I have yet to see anything but guess from anyone here in the thread.

There is no hatred, honestly. only logical thoughts and arguments.

Just check the 100+ threads where people begged for fresh.
Anyway, dead discussion now, since it is happening on Wrath, we’ll have to see who was right. I wish all the best.
