If Horde dominates Skyfury, which from Discord sign ups, looks likely, you’ll probably see Alliance stop playing on that server and go back to the server they play on now.

I hope this is an oversight… if there was any chance it was just going to be one fresh PvP server, this should have been communicated way back then, not days before the launch.

I’m seeing the opposite. Ally is going to be more popular for wotlk for sure, especially on pvp servers.

LMAO ok! Why do you even care if players want a pve server? Clearly, they just won’t play fresh or resub for fresh. No effect on your PVP server. Also, Mankrik and Pagle have been holding 7k+ pops for the last 3 years, “alive” enough for most of us.

YESSSS! Great decision blizzard!!! This was the best possible outcome and you decided to do it.
This ensures a healthy fresh pop forever, won’t need to open transfers ever. Faction balance will be pretty much 50/50.
People here don’t understand that this was the only way to make a server faction balanced, any other server added would make it a possible escape way for people to transfer off if their faction is not the biggest.

Also I couldn’t care less if it’s west or east, difference are only around 15-20 ms.
People here play with 150 ms or 200 and it makes 0 difference at all.

I have no idea who it will be. My point being, with only one PvP fresh server and no other options, if one faction dominates, the other faction will stop playing and go back to their original server.

It’s going to be extremely frustrating to get stuck in queue before being able to create a character and lose the name you want because of this… I know it’s very unlikely we get name reservations at this point but I really hope we do.

This is very true. I find this single server to be pretty concerning. I think at best it will be a 60/40 split ally/horde, with a massive playerbase, that will become a 99/1.

My reasoning for my bias to ally population is all of the biggest public guilds are alliance and alliance is hands down stronger in PvP in wotlk.
No it wont lmao. cause you won’t have transfers. THERE IS NOWHERE TO RUN. This is exactly how you fix the faction balance issue. It will be 50/50 or almost close to it.
Hate to pvp and dont play on pvp realms in classic nor did i in retail, suppose its a good thing all my subs have been cancelled and expire in week or so
