As a side note, nearly every announcement Blizz makes, people respond by saying they’re cancelling their subscription. I’m sure the first million people that did that, caused Blizz to rethink. But now it’s just silly.

This is quite frankly insulting in a myriad of ways.
First, the lack of communication is its own form of disrespect - not only in keeping the names a mystery, but also the fact that there was only going to be one and its only going to be PvP.
Secondly, the decision itself is a mind-blowing misunderstanding of a significant majority of the playerbase that doesn’t enjoy PvP, as evidenced by the fact that Blizz finally had to make it optional in retail and all the current classic servers have massive imbalance because players are seeking safety in numbers.
Third, to make this decision and hold it until four days before launch flies in the face of their supposed efforts to do better to incorporate community feedback, because if they had announced it any earlier it would have given them more time to make the appropriate decision - which is to have at least PvP and PvE servers with sign ups/name reservations so they can get an accurate indication of how many people are interested ahead of launch.
We’ve all grown used to Blizz making major missteps, but this is too much of an eff up, even for them. I am most SERIOUSLY displeased.

The most majority of private servers have always had 1 realm and they always have around a 50/50 faction distribution. Because that’s how it works when you don’t give players the options to run off to other realms if you are not in the 51 faction.
Nobody will faction change in the fresh server because the faction balacne will be pretty much perfect

If you think faction balance will be pretty much perfect you aren’t looking into the numbers based on the communities that are already existing outside of the game. This is already skewed heavily to alliance.

My guild for fresh already have 100+ members ready to roll, and I know of plenty other fresh horde guilds
the initial posts for fresh as well didn’t say that they would limit faction changes… so once the numbers come out for faction imbalance… i’ll wager that there will be an influx of faction change purchases to the dominant faction lol.
Blizz has said they want to do as few as possible to avoid faction imbalance

yeah i actually read that its at least 1 per region it seems. which is still a bit surprising but i’m accepting my PVP fresh server fate
