Show the evidence. There was one post from a player that said 2000 people were waiting to ring the gong to get their mounts on a CN server. He cited a time it was happening and never made a post again after that time passed:

Too late for classic, fresh TBC servers. Restrict toons to 2 at start and relax that as time goes on. Bots and gold buyers will end up ruining the game eventually but atleast this was we get about 6 months of fun.

I think most people are thinking like you. We need FRESH servers.
How many âemptyâ servers are there? Maybe there are none.
We know there are some âoverstuffedâ servers. They have had queues, layering, and other problems in the past. We know that Blizzard doesnât want to create more of those.
Currently (at 7 AM) the Realm Selection page shows only 3 NA servers marked âlowâ, out of 35 NA servers. Everything else is âmediumâ or âhighâ. During prime time, some of them will be âfullâ.
I donât think Blizzard treats a server is âemptyâ if it is marked âmedium populationâ at 7 AM. So they probably wonât merge any.
Thatâs unacceptable for altoholics.

SOME players make up anti-Blizzard rumors in their heads, and write them in this forum as if they were real things. Itâs all drivel and nonsense.
But other players repeat it. We all know that a lie becomes truth, if it is repeated enough times. Right?

Iâd rather not have consolidation, so I can keep my names Iâve had since release. I would be really sad to lose names, just for some temporary fresh server hype that will last 1 month.
Iâm on board and will play on a fresh server, but only if they promise to do something about fly hacking first.

I would love for them do add fresh servers. I am having a lot of fun with classic and would like to do it again. If not Iâm sure some private servers will pop up⌠See yall there

They have remained completely silent on this. The lack of integrity is astounding.
I encourage people, like you, to vote with their wallets and not to buy Shadowlands. Encourage Blizzard to do the right thing and not reward them from abusing customers.
I like it OP. Especially helping the smaller servers. Really: why not?

This is just pointless realy.
Clearly the community needs a new classic server every month, because, lets face it. Classic is a dead game once naxx releases, hardly anyone wants to do MC anymore, ZG/AQ20 are pretty much strictly ran as GDKP. Only way to breath fresh air into classic is to replicate the process every so often, otherwise its done.

If they were smart they would periodically open new realms. There is an interest and it would allow the newcomer to experience it. Sure, it will never be 2004 again, but as someone who got back into the game a year after the re- launch itâs painful to try and find people for instances or even group quests leaving a lot of the best content virtually unplayable.
Youâll get your fresh servers when TBC releases.
Iâd assume that thereâll be both Classic and TBC servers, I would honestly be surprised if there arenât any Classic servers.
