New Forum - how do I find old posts?

This is rather frustrating blizzard. Not sure why you decided to change your forums but you used to have a button under your characters photo in the upper right hand corner that said “old posts” or something like that.

Where is the option to view all my previous posts. It’s ridiculously impossible to find an old post on this forum with the number of posts on here.

When you update the forums, don’t remove good features.

I may end up posting this more than once if I can’t find my post again.

Click on your portrait and “view activity”

Hey.

Click your icon at the top right of the forum, and then click your name in the top left of that dialog box.

Certain topics are available as archive on the old forum.

Click on your portrait, and click on your activity

Nope there’s no view activity. :frowning:

All I get is my name, change character, dismiss, and a flag and a gear.

They really didn’t, they actually added a lot of good features. It is just going to take some getting used to and digging around to find some things. I’m actually enjoying finding out new stuff. :grinning:

New replies do show up here, but not ones I’ve already read.

The one beside your post, or the one in the upper-right? I apologize for not clarifying, but if you click on your portrait on the post, you’ll get that character’s previous posts.

Click on your avatar next to a post not the one at the top of the forums. At least it is showing for me when I do that. Might be a bug, there have been a few reported. In that case I would post this over in the Website Bugs Report Forums.

That’s nice, but they did. They removed the view old posts button. Glad you like the new features, but there’s no view old posts button there.

You can also track whenever a new post is made and you will get a notification about it. If you click on the “tracking” drop down at the bottom of a post it will give you some pretty neat options for following threads.

But they didn’t remove it. It is there if you click on your portrait in a post. Under View Activity. Again it is still there, just accessed differently.

Ok, so actually you have to click on the portrait, then the gear, then activity.

The new forums looks nice but would appreciate having that view old posts button back where it was, under the portrait. 1 Clicks to 3 Clicks is a nerf :(.

It might help to also use the tracking ability, it really does make it easier to follow threads, even ones you didn’t post in.

Not the only way! Ignoring the portrait in the upper-right corner of the whole forum, look to the portrait to the left of your posts.

<-- This one.

Click that once, then there should be “View Activity” or, if it’s your own, “View Profile.” This is under your character information. You’ll be able to do the same for other characters, too, though other characters will only show “View Activity.”

I did find it now, but again - moving something people use often and is already helpful where it is, is not a good idea.

Besides that, the forum seems to be running smoother which is nice.

Change your mouse sensitivity to be higher. You’ll go faster. Ha!

It would be nice if it was still available in the topic. Not sure why the post count is not a link.

Yeah it is going to take a bit to get used to stuff being moved around. Eventually we will wonder how we ever used the old forums I think. And yes they do seem to be running smoother.
