Yes, anonymous posting is best for forums.

i dont think btags are a good idea.

They’re used on all the other Blizzard forums. Perhaps being a little more specific about ‘why’ would be helpful.

tbh i chalked it up to them being a little kid so it’s like yeah whatever here we go. curious though, after i pointed out how they keep focusing on that one person being kinda weird and icky, they waste no time and do it again expecting that ill respond to it.

It would appear like they’re not a little kid trying to be funny for lulz or whatever. It’s full on creep now

It’s the only straw they have to clutch, why would they let it go?

So they still have 0 evidence and just repeat their statements endlessly

Sure sounds like legit people to listen to

Oh Gawd, they are in a feedback loop. He’s parroting and responding to himself.

Someone call tech support, the bot is broken.

community council represents playerbase, while mvp is just somewhat “helpful” with replies in forums.

I took a nap. Was a good nap.

Did the AI add anything new?

Hm. 600 posts later aaaaaaaand… nope.

welcome back my friend. What are you thoughts about anonymous posting here?

Your mother smells of elderberries.

It shouldn’t exist because people can’t even be responsible with their throwaway troll accounts already.

To put things into perspective, have given reasons and asked questions and I’ve received more coherent answers out of a broken AI that was fed six years worth of bad RP logs and the Bee Movie and Shrek scripts.

No it won’t .

With no accountability for ones actions it will have the opposite effect because no one would be worried about being reported because there would be no name to report .

You are saying one thing but asking for something that advoctates for the opposite.

Only a narcissitic gaslighting troll would ask for a system like anonymous posting so that they are able to continue trolling and their victims have no way to do anything about it .

i’m not familiar with 4chan, couldn’t tell ya. but imma mention again: in a truly anonymous forum there would be no identifying marks, such that references made on another social media forum would only be able to screenshot posts (though it’s been postulated before in this thread that that may be considered photoshopping and inadmissible in a court of public opinion, so I think we’re back to anonymity)

No they were Community Council (totally different thing)
They also said they are fine with btags without numbers showing or another identifier .

So now Khrog do you have anything new to offer

do you consider anonymity scalar/gradient? or is it binary - it’s either anonymous or it’s not?

I think it’s a gradient, but I’m not completely married to that idea.

The mobs of posters looking to push “accountability” with btags or more ignores would throw what remains of these forums into anarchy.

How would having more accountability would lead to anarchy?

Posters cannot be trusted to use that accountability fairly.

It would quickly devolve into factions of players who play the game differently just ignoring one another until posters just leave these forums all together.

Those who disagree with you aren’t fundamentally a troll or what not for proposing or agreeing to something you don’t.
