New forum function - posting anonymously, as Anonymous

Yes you did, this is suggesting everyone should just agree.

You’re very good at making up stories yourself.

I just write them off as another 4chan user, they probably did something there and got banned from them. So they want to bring their nonsense here.

Ahh, I see. All caught up - and not good. They need to handle the idea that this is not a good idea and go from there. Still clutching to an obviously, at this point unpopular opinion, is not good. At some point one has to concede the fight instead of repetitive answers.

You should probably not be online if you want to feel safe.

Anonymous posting for people who would like to feel safe and have more privacy regarding their character they are playing and posting.

What I consider frustrating is when someone, posting on an anonymous forum, makes grandiose statements about my hobby, statements that my experiences indicate aren’t the norm, but I can’t verify that this anonymous poster has engaged in activities that would have provided the same experiences. Which would ultimately allow for their statements to be more compelling, to be more valid. (You are not doing this. This is an example)

That kind of bona fide is what we use in real life when making decisions - or hopefully, we should, with a lot of common sense/critical thinking of our own.

So, while I don’t mind anonymous posting, it makes it - for me - very difficult to consider what an anonymous poster has to share regarding certain topics because I can’t verify if their speaking from 1) experience, 2) what they’ve read/heard elsewhere, or 3) if they’re just making stuff up for funsies.

No one should be immediately shunned for their ilvl in conversation. But if the topic revolves around something, like arena-based PvP, and a poster is on a toon with no arena games to their name, I feel it makes their contribution less compelling to consider.

This should not be misconstrued as being irrationally rejecting of that poster as a person, but rather the general inability to use their commentary in any meaningful way.

Except, you don’t own your characters and you do not get to decide on whether your characters are privacy.

But the Forum isn’t a MMORPG the game is

forums are extention of game play.

And you can’t be “anon” in game, therefore, you can’t be “anon” on the forums.

No, they’re not. There’s no gameplay involved in the forums.

People come here to talk about the game and connect with other people. To get help for issues they’re experiencing in game.

There is no game play involved in that.

I would die :scream:

Ooh put an ignore button down at the bottom right of a post or make sure even if the name is anon there is still an avatar to click on that takes you to a page where you can ignore .

I forgot the realms are down anyway or least they were lol

Oh realms are up sweet.

My dumb butt would be clicking it by accident when I’m only half paying attention :sob:

No they are not. They are a privilege, which can be taken away. We get it, you want anonymity so you can be a vile individual and not get called to task for it. Just seeing how nasty you are here now, just proves it.

They hate BTags because they think it would remove their characters, but they support anonymous posting that would definitely remove their characters.
