Sargeras will just be good the next time we see him haha

That, or given what we saw in Zerith Mortis, it will be a ‘new’ Sargeras, and the ‘old’ Sargeras will be chained up in some demi-plane where Illidan paces around his cage relentlessly.
Which beggars the question, if World Souls are so excruciatingly rare, where did the five World Souls sleeping in Zerith Mortis come from? Is the reason there’s so few World Souls because the First Ones kept their numbers artificially low, because they foresaw the inevitable conflict between their children, and sought to leave a ‘second generation’ in the wings to pick up the pieces and to witness first-hand the cost to creation if the ‘Gods’ waged war on a cosmic scale?

It doesn’t. When it comes to the modern cosmology of WarCraft, they’ve gone the route of the Transformers with naturally occurring pulleys and gears. Best not think too deeply on it. I guarantee Blizzard hasn’t.
That sounds harsher than I mean it to be. Just an acceptance that there’s no grand scheme happening in the background here.
Sad. The new zone is The Emerald Dream. So likely no expansion dealing with it. We move on…
Woah hold on. I’ve just been racing dragons.
Chromie did WHAT now?
Edit: I read up on it. Holy smokes, this has a lot of potential to throw wrenches into every engineer’s gears out there.
Y’all realize the obvious with that plot point, right?
Chromie’s Murozond.
Chromie’s likely always been Murozond.
Chromie is Morchie!!! I wonder how Morchie is on heroic… might need to try it on an alt.
I reckon it’ll be void related, not Dream related, given that the dream is the focus of upcoming patch content.
Actually I change my mind i think it will be dream related
Sad sea shanty noises now that it is confirmed not to be a Pirate’s Life for Me
It’s a pirate dream expansion. Where you’re on one small ship for the entire expansion
Whatever it ends up being at this point, I hope it serves as a nice beach episode for nelf fans and mains…
… Because I need other races to get monkey paw’d after the last four expansions.
I mean, the reason the pirate stuff dropped off the face of Azeroth was because one of the primary devs behind it left the company, but just because it is dropped for now doesn’t mean it never will come back.
We have a new threat just off on the other side of the horizon, but at the moment it isn’t quite a big enough threat that we need to mobilize the Murder Hobos Honster Mumpers Florida People Honorary Dargons Interplanetary War-Criminals Isekai Protagonists with Anime Adventurer Communities to go deal with it just yet.

Blizzard has said their current plan is ‘interconnected’ Expansions from this point on that will ‘bleed into’ one another, so we’ve gone Dragons to Emerald Dream with an undercurrent of Titan Shenanigans and Old God manipulation as the reason for it all, going into the next Expansion would make sense for the Emerald Dream to lead into a Void and/or Titanic story campaign where Tyr and the Dragon Aspects lead us to the new continent while chasing down Fyrakk and Iridkron, while also dealing with rogue Void nonsense and the looming threat of the Titans bearing down on us all, while Odyn tries to re-write all the records to make himself look a victim of all the horrors perpetrated on Azeroth, rather than the author of them.
I for one welcome and am excited to submit to our new pirate overlords.
Pirates or bust.
While their Heritage Quest was … nice? It wasn’t nearly as polished or representative as the Human, Orc, Gnome, Worgen or Tauren ones … but you get some sick-as glaive swords that you can mog. Combine that with the Transmog you get for maxing out the Trader’s Tender nonsense every month for a year, and we’ve finally got some Warden sets going on.
And that is a hilarious amount of copium I just inhaled, holy …
Something that does irk me with the Emerald Dream, nature is more than Gatt Dangus forests. Would be more interested to see what the Emerald Dream makes of deserts, tundras, mountains and oceans than yet another Fifty Shades of Green zone.
You’re getting a faction war.
just what I always wanted
The tauren one that teased a totem weapon we wouldn’t get for like 3-4 more years, and with a spirit guide emblem that’s not a toy, and you can’t unrandomize. I’m gonna be honest, it’s nice they even remember the spiritwalkers but it sucks and sucked that this was not only done to hint at shadowlands (where of course baine gets to follow up on all of this by… doing nothing), but also to serve as Sylvanas’ revenge.
I get wanting to compare them, but the only comparison that needs to be made is against the orc heritage questline. That one should be standard.
They tie it heavily to night elves with Amirdrassil, so there was no chance of seeing more than forests in the unburning and burning variety, unfortunately.
I just saw we’re likely getting a nice Rastakhan style headdress next month. I hope it is universal for mogs
