New event needs to be in game

For sure. If they had been upfront with what they were doing instead of creating false expectations, I think it would have had a much better reception, given how well-polished it was.

The 10.2.6 patch was for World of Warcraft.

I think the fact that people are saying that Plunderstorm is not “in game” is freakin wild. It IS part of the game whether you like it or not. You know that if it was something you queue for in the PvP tab they’d still be crying and crying. I feel like it is probably queued from the character select screen so that players from Classic and Retail alike can queue since it was advertised as something for all WoW players. People have been so obnoxious during this event.

Is it a make believe scenario to have expected actual in game content?

All of which exist within wow itself and are not stand alone games.

Those exist within wow. They are and have always been a part of wow itself. Not a stand alone game.

That gave World of Warcraft no actual in game content.

You know that if it was something you queue for in the PvP tab they’d still be crying and crying.

I’d be playing a few games a day if it was the case. Not being able to play my main is a big problem, to me

Plunderstorm is not in game. The shortcut for it is in the same place as retail, but all of the content is completely outside of Dragonflight. I have a bunch of icons on my desktop, but they’re not all for the same program.

People falsely claiming that Plunderstorm is WoW content are trolling. Plunderstorm can be fun AND not WoW content. Both things can be true.

Sorry, but in my opinion the ones that are saying it is NOT in game are the ones trolling, and stomping their feet the entire time. I really think people are telling themselves anything that will help them cope. I don’t think that’s something we are going to agree on, and that’s fine. If Plunderstorm was its own game, it would have it’s own separate icon on the Battle.net app and on my desktop. I still have to open WoW to play.

You can have a wrong opinion.

Because people disagree with you, they’re the ones “stomping their feet and coping”?

Yes, you absolutely can.

So where can I queue up on my characters? It’s WoW related content, it’s not WoW. It uses WoW art assets, but that’s it. It doesn’t play the same, feel the same, it’s not an MMORPG. Plunderstorm is a completely different game, it has no similarities to WoW other than art assets, and it not having its own icon doesn’t change that. Plunderstorm is as much WoW as Warcraft rumble is.

I don’t know who you’re trying to convince. Couldn’t be me. :eyes:

You tell yourself whatever you gotta tell yourself. I think when the event is over you’ll find that you’ll be alright. Good luck.

I will obviously be okay. Doesn’t mean I won’t speak my mind on a forum that is meant for feedback, for something that I pay for. If you like the game, go play it, nobody is stopping you.

“In game” and “In Client” are two very different things.

“In game” implies that you must first choose a character, log in, then either queue up or walk up to the event.

“In Client” is was was provided.

It’s like choosing “Single player” and “Co-Op” on the main menu of any other game.

It was a make-believe scenario to imagine what 10.2.6 was going to be with no information.

Ok. How does that relate to the point?

Read the patch notes.

Yep, that’s the major symptom of PPTD.

“Campaign and Multiplayer are two different games”, now that’s a spicy take.

I’m just gonna say this before I have to move on to other things, this is clearly up for interpretation. Like I said, people are gonna tell themselves anything they have to in order to cope. I just hope that’s working for them.

It is my hope that with more World of Warcraft experiences to come that they keep putting out content like this, only less time limited.

Expecting actual in game content isn’t some “gotcha make believe scenario”.

PS doesn’t exist in wow. All the ones you mentioned exist within wow and can be accessed with your wow characters.

No content then.

You mean, bloat the mmorpg with a completely unrelated, different, and entirely separate standalone game? Like how they actually did that, but for some inexplicable reason shoved it onto the player select page in wow? I mean at this point, why not just shove hearthstone in there, and arclight rumble? Bring back HoTS, while we’re at it! Shove it right in - I’m sure there’s room! Might as well, as long as we can tenuously suggest they’re part of WoW!
