New deserter system: a bad solution to a problem that doesn't exist

I don’t really get who this is supposed to help… low key groups are always gonna suck because every lfr player apps to 7+ in greens

How is it a detriment to the game mode?

Use your words. I want you to explain to me in detail why it’s a detriment.

Blizzard:

Help? Who said anything about help?

Maybe if everyone who hit “no” was forced to pay the people who hit " yes" on disband was forced to pay 20k the system could work.

You are not entitled to enslave others to your goal

Pretty sure the new system is ‘Vote to disband’ and that’s it. We don’t know yet what will happen exactly, but good chance if it’s a no then nothing will happen and someone will have to leave or eventually vote yes when it comes back up again.

Yeah, the other 15 minutes you might have to spend in a key before it depletes will certainly feel like being enslaved lmao

When you level a alt and are doing low keys leveling your own and see 15-30 deaths in 5mins staying feels like your a slave…

Because you can’t comprehend the toxicness that will happen or the trolling that will happen if you get into groups that has a three stack.

Like I said. You have zero clue what you’re talking about.

Common sense. Literally explained already how puging will be affected.

You can’t comprehend they won’t even get into groups because people won’t risk invites on low op people.

You really have no clue what you’re talking about.

This has never happened lol

You can leave then. The system will not mark you unless you’re leaving frequently. Do you genuinely believe you’re going to be held hostage with that level of frequency? If so, then maybe you need to do better clarifying goals ahead of time. The method to choose the group type exists, try reading it.

It’s the exact same as the deserter debuff. Yes, vote to kick gets abused occasionally, but it’s orders of magnitude less frequent than people were ditching dungeons early.

It does in low keys. This isnt an issue at ksh or higher when you are farming vaults

People that literally live on the edge and are almost waiting for just one thing to set them off do exist, but yea it’s exceedingly rare.

What usually happens (and I’ve been this person) is that numerous small things add up and it all snowballs until one major thing just confirms that the run is toast or that other people don’t know what they’re doing.

The number of times I’ve remained quiet and just done my best to trudge through until there was a straw that broke the camel’s back is quite large, lol.

An awful lot of people are either terrible or inexperienced players themselves and don’t recognize when things aren’t being done correctly or mistakes are being made, so they get all “shocked pikachu face” when someone leaves. Like…just because you’re equally bad and you think everything is fine doesn’t mean it is. Lol.

The number of people actually trolling keys or genuinely ragequitting over one mistake is quite rare.

I’ll go even one step further. Not only is this not an “epidemic” as the forums would make you believe it is, the solution to people leaving keys is pretty simple. Play better.

Most of the complaints about people leaving keys are happening at either the ‘Weekly 10’ level, or the very low key level (2-9).

But both of those levels can be single-handedly carried by a single player in a single role. In the last 2 seasons of TWW I have had exactly 3 people leave a key when it was still timeable.

Being better at the game is, once again, the actual solution.

Easier to play another game on a second monitor then play with blizzard notoriously bad systems

Maybe if you could actually read.

Use your eyes. I know you can do it.

Literally had a cinderbrew 12 Monday where we had 25 deaths after wiping at the second boss.

Yeah, I’m leaving that key vote or no vote. Although I had a 13 Cinderbrew this week that missed time by a minute and everyone stayed and nobody got toxic. It’s like the leaver/toxic M+ problem is extremely exaggerated.

Oh, you mean the thing that already happens without the system in place?

Awesome. Nice scapegoat.

Now explain to me why this is a big bad issue but actually isn’t because people don’t actually leave all the time.

Its a low key thing when people wanna play out what they shouldnt. Same reason why people surrender in diamond games but never silver.

You’ve been in every one of these threads. You know very well that is not even remotely close to the worst case scenario.

As I see from the posts on the forums, 99% of the toxic people are the same one’s leaving the keys early so there’s no practical increase there. The leavers are just choosing to do something that will get their accounts actioned instead of a mark of shame.

  1. Like random dungeons, what makes you think that will happen with any sort of regularity, let alone frequently enough just to you that would cause you to get marked for leaving? This is so far fetched it’s ridiculous.
  2. You can report those people for griefing. If they do it enough they will get actioned.
  3. You can leave the group before the dungeon starts if you’re worried about a 3 stack.

Soooo your opinion based on nothing that’s contrary to my own observations?

How does this even relate to a social warning?

Mate, everything you say is wild conjecture based on absolutely nothing. You have 0 substance and actually think you’re making halfway decent arguments.
