I can’t speak on Arakkoa one way or another. All I know is datamined info implies allied race/pandaren DKs in the future. No it’s not 100% I am well aware of that. But I’m not gonna be wait until confirmation until I believe it. I’m going to believe it until proven wrong. Because current evidence suggests yes. So until it suggests no, or is proven no I’ll keep with the yes. I’ve been right about most of these datamined info. Which ones are likely to be actually something, or people looking too deeply into them.
A lot of people say a lot of data-mined info goes nowhere. Most of the time people looked too much into them. Or extrapolated information out of nowhere and made a bunch of assumptions. All I’ve done is inferred based on the available information.
I could be proven wrong. But I highly doubt it. It also fits with blizzard in a previous interview talking about wanting to revamp the DK starter zone and with the direction the story has been going.
Then again bliz did pull WoD out of their rear end. So anything is possible.
Right, and myself personally, when I think of the Shadowlands or anything regarding them, I cannot help but think of the Arakkoa due to their own connection to them as being one of, if not, THE only races to be able to enter and leave them on a whim.
Plus, ActiBlizz have been using their rigs for further items such as the Witches of Drustvar and the Zanda Boomkin forms with additional animations each, so the potential for them to appear IS there.
Alright I’ll bite.
What the hell and where can I learn more about this?
I could make Garrosh DK! I got the shoulders and the mag’har >:)
If you did the Spires of Arak questline, you can actually witness an Arakkoa escaping what would have been certain death from when you entered the zone by finding him in the Shadowlands after imbibing a potion that allows you to travel there temporarily.
Another is all the way back in TBC where you have to gather items to pull Terokk (who at this point in time has gone mad from the curse of Sethe) out from the Shadowlands where he’s been sealed in this whole time and kill him for a toy.
As for other info, it’s out there; you just need to look at all of it from in-game books and questlines to the Chronicle books (potentially).
Edit: People say that the Shadowlands is a polar opposite to the Emerald Dream which ONLY exists on Azeroth so the Shadowlands ONLY exists on Azeroth. This is not true. The Shadowlands has existed longer than the Emerald Dream and was the basis for said dream to begin with. The Shadowlands exists EVERYWHERE, but they are STRONGEST on Azeroth for some reason, so Eonar chose Azeroth to build the Emerald Dream along with the Titan Spirit inside.
Well, I hope they let us revisit some old zones properly.
Not every expansion has to take us to a new landmass. In fact one of the good things for me in Cata was we actually felt like we were hopping all around Azeroth.
An updated zone is still technically a new one, and you know there’s only so many different zone types one can think up.
Personally I think a void zone is only fit for use once, as that kind of thing gets old fast. We had enough of the fel zones in Legion and it was only a handful.
I would love to go back to Dragonflight redone, and then perhaps even descend under it and finally go to Azjol’Nerub.
How about a Southern Barrens infested with Jungle Plants from Gorgrond and Botani?
Playable Botani Pls?
That depends on if they aren’t trying to turn us into the Plant Scourge, first.
I’m fine being plant scourge if I can play them.
Either way, it’s still just a personal theory since the Barrens (specifically Wailing Caverns) is the nearest place the Botani can reach that resembles Gorgrond…
Yeah you gotta represent all those pandaren, highmountain tauren, and lightforged draenei who were killed fighting in the third war and raised as DKs by arthas.
They should have restricted DK further to begin with, not let literally every race have access to them. It completely destroys their lore flavour to let races like draenei, goblins, and worgen be DKs, races that weren’t anywhere near the third war.
Would be interesting if Necromancers were a hidden class for mages. When mages reach level 20, they get a questline that gives them a peek into the necromancy, and if they choose to go down that path, they become necromancers.
I look forward to a kul tiran death knight!
I hope so. I don’t want Blizzard touching the original. It’s still the best starting area.
Better idea. Delete Death Knight. That class has been brokenly op since it’s introduction.
…?
We talkin about the same class here?
Yes. You’d be delusional to try say otherwise.
Honestly I would hate a new DK starter zone it would be yet another breadification of the game.
First the Forsaken are getting nerfed with Sylvanas leaving and giving them Calia. And making them all lets pray for the living.
And removing the DK starter zone would just be another spit in the coffee for us who like the more darker races and classes of the game.
