Nothing is being removed.
Most people who play this game do not visit forums, and most do not get caught up in the whole High Elf thing. I think you’ll find there are plenty of such players who’ll just look at the purple classic Void Elf and think “Awesome! I want to look like that.” Purple Void Elves certainly qualify as a pretty race, and of course that is a big factor.
Can we stop the doomsaying - AGAIN - this is not the end of the Void as we know it. Blizzard and everyone knows there is a substantial number of people that have always wanted to be a High Elf, so why not let us have those options?
As has been said many times they could easily roleplay as that if indeed these new options represent recent High Elf trainees.
There is a point where a feature is so close to what is requested, that all but a tiny few drop away and accept they have what they have asked for all these years. If it’s explained that this is what the High Elves are now doing on Alliance— because you know most people understand that events happen and things change.

You need to see the updated one, they literally gave her the cone buns.
I mean, I think that suggestion is outlandish and absurd to the point that it’s not even worth dignifying. Assuming Blizzard read it, they wouldn’t take it seriously, and nor should you.
Void Elves are still going to be Void Elves. They’re just getting a more diverse range of possible looks and a broader colour palette going forward.

Tattoos with the right colors and celtic style (full of coils and sharp twisting lines) fit both void and high elves.
Hairstyles that toggle between tendrils and braids fit both void and high elves.
Exotic colors that are not too bright, like dark red, silver-blue or bege, fit both void and high elves.
All my suggestions are meant to please both styles. You can be a brooding blue-skinned tentacled gray-haired eerie-eyed elf with menacing vold tatoos or a normal-skinned, braided silver-haired blue-eyed elf with cool blue tatoos. Win-win.

And I am, for the most part, on board. But…that said when it comes for people asking for even more non void based void elf customization, I think people on the other side have the right to voice legitimate criticism and negative feedback.

So far on my wish list I have…
Void Elf
- Natural hair colors
- Some different glowing highlights (i.e Dark Iron Dwarves)
- Every Elsa hairstyle from Frozen 2
- Full on Sailor Moon hair
- A long legolas/alleria esque male void elf hairstyle with a braid mixed in on the side.
One time, my sister’s boyfriend said my bedroom has the aesthetic of a six year old girl.

Oh agreed. They were talking out the side of their head. It was change the void elf name to high elves, make the racials optional, and give them paladins was the full request.
I always like to point it out because of how absurd it was, but I think things like what’s requested here isn’t unreasonable (even if I think some of the people who request it are unreasonable when it comes to people disagreeing with them). I just… have my concerns and I’d like to use the open forum to give my feedback the same as anyone else.
Honestly my wishlist is like…
-Some Blood Elf hair colours for Vodi Elves
-Some Blood Elf hairstyles for Void Elves
-Som reskinned Void Elf hairstyles for Blood Elves
And that’s probably it. Like I could go further if I really wanted to push it, but all in all I’m pretty damn happy with the current announcement as is, so there’s no much beyond it to really have as a wishlist for me.
