none of these break neutrality. zulaman they answered the call of the farstriders to defend their homeland alongside darkspear trolls. they were not sent there by the alliance. the alliance would never send support. this is something only they can do because they arent a part of the alliance. vereesa appearing for the pvp artifact skin also doesnt break neutrality in any capacity the kirin tor were active during legion the SC were free to assist the alliance although most of them worked along side the farstriders again. but after legion concluded they withdrew back to dalaran and sat out the faction war along with the kingdom they are aligned with
the siege weapons are a joke. how do you know void elves didnt drop them off? vereesa appeared in a personal capacity with no other SC elves just as she did in the 3 sisters comic and when she went to argus
(Commentary): How is that any sort of criteria for them not being Alliance? You can be Alliance and take a neutral stance, Dalaran is pretty much the textbook example.
in the war campaign and leading assaults they dont have the numbers to be everywhere at once. porting some siege engines around is a simple task for a void elf and that there are no other elves around its a much more logical conclusion. it cant be confirmed either way so clinging to this just shows how little presence they actually have. you have nothing else to point to
where do you think allerias tattoos originated from. even in wc2 where do you think those elves came from? they were a force sent by quelâthalas. they werent just standing around in SW
Itâs as if these people railing against these options are pretending the context and circumstances donât exist.
Itâs as if people are asking for Orc customisations on a Human to them.
They pretend there isnât this massive theme of people asking for High Elves, with sensible reasons (as in High Elves have always been on Alliance). They pretend there wasnât a very mixed response to the Void Elf race. They pretend it isnât in fact the case that High Elves are in the Rift itself. They pretend itâs a realistic scenario Blizzard are going to add another Thalassian Elf seperate race. They pretend void is a racial feature when in fact itâs a corruption. They pretend this isnât in fact already happening with other races such as Dwarves and Trolls, and those races donât have such dramatically obvious Bronzebeard or Darkspear racial abilities.
All of this in the face of 'Meh you wanna steal Blood Elves."
Yes. We could have celtic-like tattoos in void, blue, violet and magenta varieties. All cool (i.e.: not warm) colors that fit both void and high elves.
Void elf hairstyles could come with/without tentacle variants. One idea I just love is a toggle between tendrils and braids. That way every haircut can be traditional or voidy.
I like the idea of a toggle between braids and tentacles, it gives everyone more options. Iâd probably use braids even if I actually did roll one with the void theme just because I find the tentacles off putting.
Iâd reaaaaaally like some male Void Elf hairstyles that werenât half balding or looking like they just got caught in the rain.
Like, itâs weird, because I donât think the female styles have this problem, but the male hairstyles all seem soâŚwet. So Ideally Iâd like some styles that addressed that.
I do really like this idea, whether itâs for extra Void Elf hair variant options, or used to share the Velf hairstyles on the Blood Elf side (I know there are at least a few Belf players that really want this) or both.
I honestly wonder if Blizzard could either just apply an alpha layer to the textures so the tentacles wouldnât be visible, or take the existing meshes and just delete the tentacley bits.
I mean its a super lazy way to do it, but still, itâd tick the box of providing hairstyle options without the Void Elf tentacles. And the lazier an idea is, the easier it is to implement, which makes it more plausible that they might actually do it.
Deleting the tentacles is pretty easy, but some hairstyles would look really weird without them (because one would expect some sort of hair occupying that place), thought other styles would look okay.
Something tells me it wouldnât be quite that easy (I could be wrong, though, I have very little background in modeling).
That said, ârebuildingâ those hairstyles into non-tentacley versions seems like it would probably still be a quicker task than making new ones from scratch would be. So I donât think itâs too much of a stretch to think it could happen.
Because these people donât want void elves. They want high elves and theyâre going to keep pushing that options envelope until they get high elves as long as they think that thereâs hope for it.
