Yes, as two separate options, one or the other all under the same tab feathered wings would be. This would appear more as an energy motif than an actual growth like the traditional wings would, but it would be interesting to see Blood Elves grow wings under the Lights influence like they did under Fel.

And that’s the point.

He’s presenting his list as if this is what the Blood Elf fans want to see get added.

He even said he was compiling suggestions and adding his own. This means he intends for it to be a community list.

By denying a request due to his opinion on the request despite it being a highly requested one, he’s trying to deny those people what they want.

Since he wants to make a community list, he has to support everything people ask for even if he doesn’t really want to himself.

And that’s a fair point, and he indeed shouldn’t claim to speak for the entire community, but he’s not the only person with lists.

I will recognize that his list does seem more personally driven, but then again I omit options from my own lists as I just don’t feel like I’d ever use them rather than truly wanting to keep people from them.

But omitting a couple options from a list is hardly tantamount to making a thread titled ‘Why Ranger tattoos don’t work for Blood Elves, a Primer.’

BLOOD ELF CUSTOMIZATIONS REQUEST LIST

• light scars/tattoos
• decursed/cleansed/redeemed felblood elf wings in white/gold/gray/black options - feathery, soft and fluffy
• braided hair styles, both long and short
• dark rangers with pale skin and glowy red eyes and/or dull pink eyes
• san’layn with tiny bat wing option
• druids with lynx cat form, phoenix flight form, hawkstrider travel form, my fav fae boomkin form - no mention yet of bear and swim form
• void elf like holographic, naaru style, wings but in shiny gold
• void elf like holographic feathery wings, similar to a’lar’s phoenix colorations/ see talon of the phoenix
• all hair styles of all races
• all hair colors of all races
• all skin colors, including npc skin colors - not sure if green has been mentioned
• all eye colors of all races with glowy eye color type… no one has mentioned normal eyes yet, for belfs, that i’ve seen
• shaman
• claw like fingernails as option

No like Blood Elves. It was an exclusive feature from the opposite faction given to the others. Since this occurred “exclusivity restrictions” are out the window.

Humans/Gnomes/Dwarves had it first. There was nothing special about Blood Elves having real world skin colors except that it was on the Horde. And that is still true.

And at least Blood Elves got blue eyes for it despite there being no lore avenue for it.

I’m looking for something explicit because if it’s not explicitly retcon then it isn’t retconned.

They had a design change.

They aren’t the same as WC2 in lore and themes. Pretty much no one is.

It’s a compiled list of popular/likely suggestions.

I also don’t include Light Wings/Light Tendreals because I don’t see them making geosets for those.

I just literally do not see Alleria’s Tattoos going to Blood Elves.

Especially over the TBC Runes and the fact that people are already mad that Void Elves can look so much like Blood Elves. Having them share tattoos would be iffy.

You could literally make the same case that Void Elves could get Blood Elf Runes and it would actually make more sense than Blood Elves getting Alleria’s Tattoos.

But then you run into the same problem that they would HAVE to either be locked to curtain Colors/Patterns thus weakening them as features and making people MORE upset that Blood Elves and Void Elves look too much alike.

So you run into a few options.

Give Blood/Void Elves the exact Alleria’s Tattoos and weaken the differences even more and lock Curtain Colors/Patterns, weakening the feature overall. And making Blood Elves look like an enemy faction leader.

Give Blood/Void Elves Runes. Taking a feature Blood Elves have requested since TBC and giving it to Void Elves AGAIN and having to lock colors/patterns. And having Void Elves look like a Blood Elf racial Leader.

Give Blood Elves the runes and give Void Elves nothing. Not a fun one but is very likely given the effort to let Night Elves look like the Box Art.

Give Void Elves Alleria’s Tattoos and give Blood Elves nothing. This is very unlikely and would cause a great amount of unrest in the comunity given what’s happened already.

Give Blood Elves Alleria’s Tattoos and give the Void Elves nothing. This would be taking a feature from the Void Elves racial leader and giving it to the enemy faction.

Give both groups nothing. What Blizzard is currently doing.

It’s complicated beyond all measure. Which is why I don’t put it on the list. I just do not see it happening.

Again, if you don’t like it, make your own. I may disagree with the likelihood of some things but it’s not me stopping you from making suggestions.

I won’t lie, as much as I love customization and want Belfs to get a ton more stuff (San’layn, Dark Ranger, Farstrider tats, runic tats, arcane tats, etc.) this feels…excessive to me.

The idea that you can make a Belf and pick different magical wing options in character select just seems way too much to me. I feel like that drastically changes the feel, silhouette, and vibe of the race.

That being said, I wouldn’t mind it if they added fiery phoenix/light wings as a back piece transmog for the heritage set, I feel like it could fit quite nicely. And with Shadowlands adding in new cool back pieces like wings, spikes, etc. I feel like it’d be fitting.

On that note, make the Velf wings a back piece Transmog slot please, since they didn’t get a cloak. It’s annoying having it tied to the chest piece.

I think Belfs would have sick animal forms. Lynx cat form, Dragonhawk flight form, Hawkstrider travel form, etc.

druids is my fav request for belfs and velfs. and i think gnome druids would be adorable. but i promised a nice belf on the forums that i’d help her ask for belf druids. personally, i think they should go the route of botanist druids, at least at first, like they did with their blood knights, so they have a journey from artificiality, to redemption, where the actual druids redeem them into real druid society.

Nelfs have a chance at getting pallies. Which will even them out with belves. Something else will probably get druid or shaman. But my two cents is that it won’t be belves.
