New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

That text does not appear in the first link and the second link has a giant disclaimer that says “This information is out of date”.

but both say, dark naaru are void gods. hehe. slippery guzzle fish

Yeah, it’s an alternate name. I’ll rewrite it if you like.

Void Lords > Old Gods > Void Gods

pyromancer, if you are familar with his videos, does mention a theory that the life titan, eonar, is also secretly the light titan. he believes this based on various commentary from ingame events, such as velen during his funerary event on alternate draenor wod, saying life is the light, and the light is life itself. they may be exchanged but nothing is ever lost. etc.

i couldnt find any reference to them being less than void lords. in fact, the only reference i found was on the now outdated page that says void lords and void gods are the same, which of course, doesnt seem likely as void lords appear in armor, void gods do not, void lords are described separately from void gods who are identified as dark naaru. so you may be right, but i’d like to know where you got the info

Incorrect.

The only canon citation on the Void Lords we have, comes from Chronicles volume 1, where they’re described as entities from the non-physical universe, that struggle to manifest into the physical universe. The old gods were the Void lords only successful manifested presence into the physical universe, as they countless of them (old gods), were randomly flung across the cosmos to land on and corrupt any worlds they could find.

This basically shows that Old gods are Void lords tools, and since a Dark Naruu is in no way shape or form more powerful than an Old God, they’re no Void lords, they’re just another void corrupted vessel.

You could find most of this in Chapter 1 of Chronicles volume 1, and a bit more later in later chapters.

read the two links i provided above.
there are void lords. they wear armor and have trouble manifesting in reality. there are void gods, another name for dark naaru, who dont wear armor and dont have trouble manifesting in reality. old gods is different subject for me. i’m trying to get evidence that void gods are less than void lords

the natural progression of the life cycle of a naaru, is to turn into a void god. they do not need to be corrupted by a void lord, for this to happen. it just happens automatically when they begin to die. it flips from light to void. oddly enough.

There’s no citations for the information here. Wikis aren’t canon.

I did see the links, but I’m honestly unable to find the source behind what the links state. As we all know those aren’t official WoW lore websites, and are fan made. If you could link me the actual canon source for what the links describe, please do. I actually want to know more on this too.

i suspect you and guzzle are right, that even a dark naaru, literally a void god, who can easily stay manifested in our reality, are still not as powerful as a void lord. the void lords issue seems to be that they are so powerful, it takes alot more power to materalize them in alternate realities to their own, a problem dark naaru dont appear to have.

my original theory was, this meant void gods were more powerful because they can easily manifest, but maybe thats not the case

Since the Titans are already represented within the sphere of Order on the chart, I dont give that theory much merit.

I actually do enjoy Pyro’s videos btw, as extreme some of his theories are, some of them DID actually come through thoughout the years.

note that velen doesnt say disorder is the light. he says life is the light. recall you asked what might be above naaru in the light pecking order.

i have the same view as you: interesting, dont always agree, but still interesting and occassionally quite accurate

Didn’t Sargeras start his crusade because of the Void Lords? They were so powerful he was afraid, or something like that? Can’t remember the exact details

I really hope they’re something special, and I hope the Light has something like them too.

Yes. He started The Burning Crusade because of his fear that a nascent Titan soul would be corrupted by the Void Lords into a weapon to consume the cosmos for the void.

He reasoned that if he wiped out all life, there would be nothing for the Void Lords to corrupt. In his eyes, a dead universe was better than a voided universe.

I can dig up the quotes if anyone needs, but they’re fairly lengthy.

he was afraid the old gods that void lords flung at the planets in hopes of getting one titan soul corrupted, would turn a titan soul into a dark titan and destroy everything. so he decides to do the deed himself with the belief that then there would be no old god infestations. but he cant guarantee that since creation requires both the light and the void.

Nah, a reborn universe was more like a consolation prize he was hoping for. He was fine with all life ending permanently if it meant no Void universe.

Oh. So he wasn’t actually afraid of the Void Lords themselves, but more of what their influence could mean for the unborn Titans? I thought he was just scared of the Void Lords, oof

crazy as a loon. let this be an object lesson on reality - powerful people can often be quite bonkers.
