New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

All these new combinations are looking pretty good so far…though they haven’t added the void elf stuff just yet.

Wow…all of those characters look like unique NPC’s now, whereas before we always just looked like basic NPCs

As a RPer, I’m so excited to see how drastically different and unique everyone is going to change overnight when the prepatch hits. Stormwind is going to be filled with a lot of different looking people.

Sure, whatever you say, dude. Those fel-tainted green eyes that were their only option for over a decade were just for show, they don’t mean anything because you say so.

Didn’t Ion literally say in an interview a few weeks back that the Elves eye color is representative of what type of magic they use…?

Hence having green eyes because they were using/feeding off of fel magic?

Steve Danuser said that the cosmology was written by titans and there are elements of it they didn’t know about. Obviously so they could expand upon it.

That doesn’t make the history in chronicles inaccurate.

I feel like you’re the crazy thanksgiving uncle of arguing about WoW Lore… it’s just a lot of, “Blood Elves are the Master Race and don’t let those orcs down the street tell you different! Also Lightforged Draenei came from Draenor to steal our Paladin and Priest Jobs and they’re installing 5g Gnome Towers to control your brains!”

Your feelings aren’t the WoW lore.

Fel exposure isn’t the same as Fel corruption. There are (were) FelBlood Elves in the TBC, they were hostile NPCs and they were mostly killed off back in TBC.

The fel exposure that the Blood Elves of Quel’thalas dealt with was the result of fel crystals used to empower Silvermoon, and was for a quite relatively short period (2-3 years), which ended with the restoration of the Sunwell. That Blizzard were so late in updating their eyes (in the way of customization), does not mean they’ve been fel corrupted for “over a decade”, but sure, whatever you say dude.

False. They did not feed off nor use fel magic. The group that did that, existed as Felblood elves, and perished in the TBC.

And this makes the titans the all-knowing autorithies in non titanic race pschology how exactly?

It does make it when you use it to justify your own judgement regarding a lore character.

Nothing you mention here is accurate regarding my posts… and then he calls me the “crazy uncle”. Are you so… superficial in all aspects of your life? Cause you give more and more validity to my remark of the last weekend (yup, DEFFINITELY NOT putting EVER my health in your hands…)

Says the man comparing a pharagraph of a non reliable book to the mental AND character development of a character… hilarious. Pot, meet mirror.

You’re stating that the lore document of WoW is invalid because Steve Danuser was explaining why there is new cosmology stuff.

While also yelling at people to learn to lore.

That makes you the drunk uncle of these arguments. The drunkle of this argument.

And given the Dark Rangers ability to wield dark magic as well, they could be loosely represented by Priests and Warlocks as well.

How does one satisfy a “Void Elf fan” when most people playing one want them to be a different race entirely?

What about the people who want more customization options to actually, you know, be a Void Elf?

All I see are people suggesting more suggestions to move Void Elves closer and closer to High Elves, which they simply are not and will never be.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if some Blood Elf fair skin copies and blue eyes are the end of it and they wash their hands of this mess completely.

No I did not

It blows my mind seeing how many options were getting! Like no one will look the same anymore and I’m very excited to see all the different looks.
So far I’m going nuts over the night elf ones

They should just be a Blood Elf customization and shouldn’t be class restricted. There are all kinds of dead elves running around after Arthas invasion.

Haha okay. Pardon me if I do not take what you say in stock given your history.

So, how do you explain the sentences where people say that Void Elves received too much, or more than a core race?

Yeah, and that was made for Blood Elves, not for Void Elves, they’re only getting access to it, let’s also not forget that most people asked for High Elves, not Void Elves, so these skin tones are just a band-aid fix and a better compromise. Personally, I would’ve liked High Elves as their own Allied Race, instead.

Let get this straight, the fact that Blood Elves indeed DESERVES ANOTHER THEME, doesn’t mean that Void Elves aren’t allowed to receive a few more things or that people shouldn’t be allowed to ask for more.

If Void Elves are receiving more than Blood Elves, where are: the new hairstyles, the new hair color options, the new earrings/jewelry, the blind eye options?

The only unique new thing that Void Elves received is that purple eye option, there’s literally nothing new regarding hairstyles, tattoos, earrings, jewelry, or hair colors.

But, I agree that Blood Elves DESERVES ANOTHER THEME, however, implying that Void Elves received more customizations than Blood Elves is nothing but a lie, besides the new eye color and these shared skins tones, there’s literally nothing new.

They never said these customizations are the only ones we’ll be receiving, nor that only Allied Races will be receiving more options in the future, or that they’ll focus mostly on them in the future.

Will Allied Races get new customization options in Shadowlands?

For launch, the focus is on original races. Blizzard would like to improve Allied Race customization in the future, but not for Shadowlands launch. Customization is ongoing project.

Customization is ongoing project.

Hmmm…

Yeah, probably not…

That’s my point, there isn’t such a thing as “schedule”, the only thing scheduled is the customizations for Core Races, Blizzard never confirmed that they’ll focus on Allied Races later, nor when they’ll do another round.

You’re FREE to ask for more, but stop trying to make it feel like Void Elves shouldn’t receive more, or don’t deserve more in the process. Keep asking whatever you want for Blood Elves as much as you want, but don’t try to prevent other people who want more things for Void Elves to do so!

Yeah, me too. I was there asking for it.

For sure. I was just pointing out why some people are upset over the situation is all.

Personally i’m not really a fan of Green eyes for Alliance Elves. I like that as a specific defining feature of Horde Elves. But if it was a different type of green that was more “human” looking I guess it would look different enough and could look cool if we had some kind of green tattoos or war paint.

I don’t believe anyone is arguing void elves shouldn’t get more, but that blood elves should not be forgotten in the course of it. Which, they might be given Blizzard’s habits

I threw this together earlier pretty quickly, so it might be off, but something like this? https://i.imgur.com/NEMuivK.png

Ignore the hair, I’m only referring to the eyes here.

Then you just severely down play the new skin tones and eye color then. Because on Blood Elves we don’t have a second theme. Or the amount of attention and love they’ve moved on for Night Elves, but had time to do Void Elf stuff? And now it just feels like they’ve moved on from Blood Elves.

Nobody is saying this just that it shouldn’t come before some more stuff for Blood Elves since BE customization feels lacking and it’s a core race. Like is that really the worst thing in the world to hear? Is that the hill to make a stand on with some HE supporters thinking the situation is unequal as is as well?
