New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

I would honestly just die for some new BLOOD ELF FACES, it would really make a world of difference, they could even be shared with the Void elves. I’m just tired of the same limited selection.

Faces are something Blizzard isn’t touching. Only humans got new faces for now.

But things like facial hair, makeup and scars help a lot. I thought the makeup option for human females sounded dumb, but using it really makes the same face feel different, and some faces are greatly improved by it.

Same thing with the night elf scars.

I hope every race get face textures like those.

Doesn’t even have to be face-sculpting, but things like freckles, and complexion changes would be more than enough to make a huge difference in their appearance.

I feel things like body type, face configuration and so on are reserved for the future. Human face options and undead rot options feel like prototypes for future things.

Facial geometry for Nightborne females, and sculpt the eyes back to their proper Nightborne shape please.

Only face 1 has geometry.

well let me tell you how i view important belf npcs:

lor’themar - wise. he listens carefully and makes sound decisions. his primary goal is not his hair style but the safety of his people.

kael’thas - in wc3, brave and humble. in outlands, frank and pushed to his limits. considering the situation, most people would’ve fallen apart way before outlands. so he’s also a survivor.

liadrin - also a survivor and an idealist.

I think those new faces are just textures, too. They’re not actual new faces. You have to be using the darker skin colours to access the new face textures.

freckles. hehe that would be cool.

I’m not talking about the textures, but the face shape option that allows you to change the geometry.

Ooh, right. My bad. I honestly think every race should get something like that, tbh.

I’ll still advocate for customizations revolving more variety with Blood elf faces. I would love to see things like

  • Freckle variations
  • Blush/make up options
  • Lipstick, and nail polish selection
  • Different face shapes
  • Lighter skin tones

All of these things would make a world of difference for Blood elf faces and appearance.

Lighter?
Unless you mean undead-looking, blood elves have a range from very (natural) pale to very (natural) dark.

There’s one color that is almost white.

There are a few NPC shades that have a wider variety of paler skin tones, although it wouldn’t be difficult to add in a few lighter shades as well.

I’m irish/polish, and have a pretty fair complexion while the lightest skin selection of blood elves still has some heavy bronze tones. Not the biggest deal, but probably one of the easiest customization options to add.

I need to check for myself, but I think those are available to customization. There’s a really pale option that I’m not sure it was available before and is very like one used by high elf NPCs.

Yes, the High Elf NPCs have some paler skins not available to players. Would be nice if they allow players to use them.

Yeah, it’s really nice they gave such an awesome selection of dark skin tones that dive really far into color spectrum, but it would be nice if it reached that far on the other end as well.

I’m pretty fair, and freckly in real life, so it would be nice to have some options to reflect that. Again not a huge deal, but considering that some of those lighter skin shades already exist, it can’t hurt to add them.

We’re also missing the blue hair option for Blood Elves. I’m hoping it’s a sign that Blizzard aren’t entirely finished for them yet. Because like Gnomes, Worgen and Goblins, their options seem extremely limited. Why do Night Elves get like 6 ear options when Blood Elves only get 3? I don’t even think Gnomes or Trolls get any kind of miscellaneous options like that, either.

Correct me if I am wrong, but we really haven’t seen too many new faces yet? (I know humans… kind of.) I wonder if that’s coming for all races? I think that would be great.

Hm, I was wrong, the textures already exist in live.

Well, I see no problem with more added. There’s some really pale high elf skins that could be ported for blood elves.

Humans seem to be the only race with new faces, but that was likely only done to reflect features associated with certain ethnicities.

It just seems strange that in an expansion where they’re trying to focus more heavily on customization, they wouldn’t be adding new faces for every race. Most of the customizations we’ve seen feel like almost no work was put into them, with the exception of the Night elves most recently.

It would be nice, since they already exist.
