I didn’t know this.

They were introduced in WoD, way before allied races, and are just a creepy thing among the many creepy things in the faire.

i think its cute as heck. loved all the work you did on gilgoblins. you’re a dedicated fan of the short races and of the game.

Definitely am. Thank you. In most games I play, when there is short races available I typically like to them.

Left a heart on your thread. The effort you put into that is ridiculous. :ok_hand: I’d love to see you guys get what you’re asking for.

This means a lot. Thank you. I already liked this thread and several high elf thread. I am glad to see high elf fans are kinda getting what they asked for. Even if not the most ideal circumstance.

Gnomest is best demon huntress.

You know it. I may be wearing my pirate outfit now, but it just to change things up for a bit. Definitely getting back to the old look sometime in the future.

Ok this picture is from the intro stuff they posted and I’m not sure if its a player or npc…but it seems like a void elf/high elf ? with a bigger beard?

If you’re talking about the elf in the alliance uniform, that’s a night elf.

You sure? The silhouette of the body doesn’t seem to be the male night elf shape at all…though I wish I could find another picture for clarity.

He’s in a Night Elf pose, I’m pretty sure that’s a Night Elf. Also, that’s not a beard, it’s a mask.

Does anyone have access to the Alpha? What do the High Elves and Void Elves look like in the Telogrus Rift?

Just like in live.

Just playing around with the Night elf customizations, and there is a set of customizations that can be put together that are very high elven-like. So I suppose if they don’t remove corruption visuals from the void elves, I have an round about way on my NE hunter… if that’s how I wanted to play it out in my head.

Hey guys, how’s it going.

I’m really pissed. I lost my Airpods charging case while walking my dog :rage::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

:sob:

Any news regarding Blood/Void Elves?

They still have the same DK eyes? Odd

Oh, as a woman myself I´m totally aware. However, tell that to Blizzard devs, who only portray negative female traits onto the males (A.K.A. damsel in distress + superficial thinking + incompetence syndrome. All presentin the 3 quest chains in Cata and in Aethas Sunreaver). That´s why in my book, that “female” jewerly can´t be perceived as done without some malicious jab behind it. Cause it started as a joke and now it has become almost a “theme” surrounding the Belves.

Devs obsessive compulsory need to give a negative outlook on the Belves DO exist both in-game with the quest and the /silly (I mean, lovely how the most noticeable couple of Belves in Dazar´alor are the two “tourist” near the Great Seal who are shown basically insulting the locals cause “muh superficialityyy!!”), and in the lore with the continuous degradation of male Belf characters. Aethas started as a normal character and ended up as the but of the jokes in Argus, with a clear bad joke quest referencing his whole character development.

My opinion regarding the “jewerly” is not borne out of irl personal convictions, it´s borne out of a concious observation and analysis on Blizzard stance regarding the Belves as a race. Blizz maybe is more subtle and doesn´t pull this detrimental image (not too much at least) on characters like Lor´themar (though one could argue he was the most useless “main character” in the whole Naz´jatar patch; in comparison to Thalyssra, Genn and Jaina), but they do love to imply such dissapointing “lul, they are airheads” stance to regular Belves and it´s VERY discouraging when one go back and reads the lore and sees these people are actually anything but superficial.

You´re waaay behind news,Chronicles got retconned. Devs not even respected it as the supposed “lore bible” it was sold as.

Don´t blame me for this, blame Blizzard, They were the ones that, when confronted by people asking about inconsistences in BfA, decided to say “lul, this happened cause it´s NOT a lore bible -ergo it doesn´t reflect a true view of the historical facts as per the writers- but because the book represents merely the PoV of the titans, lululul”. It was Blizz themselves the ones to discredit Chronicles in the first place.

Learn your lore, man.

Mmm no, I was saying as compared to other bigger requests, they have less hardcore support behind them.

Even if only a few of them want them it’s neither here nor there if they become playable to me, I only stated that it’s a few people who are genuinely fighting hard for them, if you take issue with stating that fact, that’s more of a you problem. :man_shrugging:

i thought the phoenix necklace and new bracelets were gorgeous. the idea behind most races in the game is to stereotype the heck out of them. everbody is a meme. its all tongue in cheek and even started off with chars that were basically poking fun at the fantasy genre.

so i’m not surprised the superficial glamorous fabulous meme is on the shoulders of belfs, though they were the first race in the game with normal body proportions. everybody else was silly looking…on purpose.

If that was the case and that’s what you meant, I apologize. Often on the internet it can be hard to read context or understand how someone is trying to imply something. I will say this though. There is many requests that would be popular, but don’t have people actively lobbying for them on the forums. Someone or a group of people had to get together to do that. Centuars, naga and eredar are a few popular ones with very few to no people actively lobbying for them on the forums.

Yep, they do. Nothing changed so far.

Problem is, the “meme” went waaay out of control in regards to the Belf characterization proper. Devs simply use it as another tool to denigrate the Belf characters (specially when this can be done in favour of writer´s pets / self inserts like Jaina or Anduin).

So excuse me, but I rather NOT condone the bad taste joke that afterwards WILL be used to ridicule more of the characters that compose the race. Specially when the narrative and the lore advance according to character´s development arcs like in BfA. A “pretty” necklace is SO not worthy…

What would you want from their customization then? And I know it doesn’t mean much, but I think the inclusion of proper beards for the Blood Elves is kind of Blizzard’s way of showing Blood Elves aren’t just a bunch of vain, prissy a**holes.
