I haven’t seen them beyond the Sunwell Raid, so I would assume they are no longer a thing.

I’d imagine they were routed or died at the Sunwell. You burn through a lot of them in the raid that ends with Kael’thas.
But I’m sure there are a few kicking around. There are still San’layn popping up, etc.
The answer is always: “As many as the plot demands!”
Would be interesting, but I don’t feel the tech for different bodies exists. I can see it becoming a reality in a future expansion, when everyone gets at least two body types.

I believe Chronicle 3 had the two happen at the same time anyway though.

This is why and I don’t want to speak for others but unlike Dark Ranger stuff, The Felblood Elves not really having a presence at all since BC is why I don’t think many people are receptive to them as customizations in comparison to the likes of Dark Rangers and San’layn.
Couldn’t it just be a toggle like the Orc posture toggle?

Dark Rangers are the obvious and preferred solution.
No, orc posture is just an alternative version for certain animations. No model change involved.

Toggling a model? No.
Making the models? A whole lot of yes!
They’d only need to upscale the old NPC models. If memory serves, they used the same set of animations as the base Trolls anyway.
