She had a tree incinerated. She could have been on it.

Night elves are the first race to get a scar option. After seeing how most races have nothing of the sort, and how simple Blizzard made a solution to this, instead of tying scar to face like in humans or kul tirans, I think we will see it applied to almost everyone eventually.

That’s why I don’t take all this complaining seriously. Night elves, especially males, were literally one of the worst races in terms of customization. The fact that they got so much love now is comendable. It’s really unfair for anyone to say “blood elves didn’t get as improved as night elves”, considering the starting point of each (and should I remind everyone that blood elves got new eyes, new faces and some animation improvements in BfA when no one else did?).

And the breakthroughs done with night elves will benefit future customization for other races. I can’t wait to see everyone getting scars like that.

I was, I evacuated as many as I could, but it still wasn’t enough. :sob:

You were fast Avarie.

But you just couldn’t beat the heat.

That would be fine if there wasn’t a concern that Blizz would choose to be lazy in regards to obvious matters.

I mean after all one only needs to look at how Lazy Blizzard was when they had so many opportunities to end this debate once and for all as a playable race and either ignored it entirely… or half assed it.

I think the Elf races of their respective factions should share customization with eachother. By that I mean Night Elves sharing with Void/High Elves & Vice Versa. AS well as Blood Elves sharing with Nightborne & Vice Versa.

It makes sense from a cultural stand point that Elves of their respective faction might share some styles and it gives each of them more options where they make sense.

I really want those glorious Night Elf beard options for a High Elf mage look :joy:

I’d like that sweet, sweet Night Elf ponytail.

The most glorious beards are what the Dwarves get.

Other races can dream though, right?

Kael’thas is an outsider… He showed up to Quel’thalas, took all the good warriors and left again.

Lor’themar’s been the one holding things down.

Yeah. That’s what I was saying.

Blood Elves are probably a more accurate representation of the former High Elves. But they changed their name to Blood Elves.

The High Elven group that’s being requested are some odd ones that hang with the Alliance mostly.

But… they kept the name High Elves. So here we are.

Check the Mage District.

“A few high elves have chosen to join the Alliance in recent years, but the Alliance as a whole remains somewhat suspicious of high elves to this day. The high elves’ secession from the Alliance during the Second War left bitter memories. Furthermore, the night elves, who became part of the Alliance during the Third War, saw it as their duty to warn their new allies against the high elves. The Highborne’s part in bringing about the War of the Ancients figured heavily in the night elves’ retelling of high elf history.” - From the Wow encyclopedia.

So there is some in game lore showing that they’ve chosen to join the Alliance.

Technically elves like the Quel’danil are neutral. But… they’re friendly to the Alliance and Hostile to the Horde in game. So…

Mmm. That’s unknown. A lot of them did die due to the artifact. But the WoW encyclopedia mentions High Elves joining the Alliance. The now outcast Quel’lithien elves who were against the Blood Elves and Lor’themar seem like likely candidates.

I don’t think so.

People have wanted to play High Elves. Like what you see in the mage district

I feel like for some reason you think people are requesting a dungeons & dragons race… when High Elves have been represented in the Alliance or friendly with the Alliance since Vanilla and these are the High Elves people are familiar with.

You seem to be suggesting that people are requesting The Elves in Quel’thalas that changed their name, which has never been the request.

Well… Blood Elves were the High Elves and they hold Silvermoon city. They did change… I mean, Blood Knights exist and that couldn’t be more obvious than playing a Blood Elf Paladin and having to kill another Blood Elf to resurrect them.

I’m not sure what themes you’re claiming people were telling you couldn’t be yours?

If it’s the blue-eyed thing… The blue-eyed thing was how the two different elves were distinguished in WoW. But that became meaningless as soon as you could start choosing eye color.

Thormus, I hold you in high regard, but this is blasphemy.

I agree. The scars are gonna be spread across the different races for sure. It’s just a texture slapped on the model.

While trolls got a lot of options, they don’t feel as different.

Silvermoon was merely a setback. Did you honestly think I would entrust the future to my people? Oh no no no! They were merely an instrument. A stepping stone to a much larger plan. It has all lead to this, and this time, you will find me in Shadowlands!

I loved Kael in Warcraft 3. It’s interesting that WoW chronicles was basically like, “His people hated him and he was largely oblivious.”

I’m still upset that Blood Mages are basically not talked about.

Time for a retcon.
