New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

Blood Elves don’t even have the Dark Ranger stuff to be able to nit pick the little things like this though was my point.

It’s like complaining you only have half a cake, while someone else has 0 and being like “well I only have half so are you really in a worse position then me I don’t even have the whole thing”. That’s just how it comes off to me.

For me personally, these are what I want:

Dark Ranger options- Pallid Skin and Red eyes, I would absolutely love tear marks and wounds too, but these come secondary to the skin and eyes.

I would also like Farstrider Tattoos, feathers in and hair and a couple of less prissy hairstyles such as a half shaved option. Void Elf hair without tentacles would be fine too.

You see I don’t really care about blue eyes or jewelry. I’ll use the blue eyes but I most likely won’t use the necklaces as they look strange as if they’re part of the skin and protruding.

My number one gripe with current customization besides there being nothing for me personally is that a few other races, namely, trolls, dwarves and Void Elves have a secondary theme. Blood Elves are just summed us as prissy and vain by present customization options.

Trolls have Farraki/Sand trolls, Dwarves have Wildhammer, and Void Elves have the void. Those are secondary themes (desert theme for trolls, shamanic for Dwarves, and void for void elves). Blood elves are being treated like prissy and sophisticated are our only defining traits. Contrarily, Blood Elves are just as multifaceted as all the other races. We have the more “wild” and nature oriented farstriders with tattoos and feathers in their hair.

We also have the fallen elves of Quel’thalas who died defending their beloved homeland or fell during Kael’thalas quest into Northrend. Blizzard seems to forget that Blood Elves fight just as much and are as capable as the other races in battle. We too should get scars.

But like I said, the Dark Ranger options and the Farstrider options are most important to me.

There’s a Priest set in Legion with little wings on the shoulders.

Plus a PvP set with wings that fade in and out.

I want dark ranger themes for belves. But if you guys get red eyes but no undead skin colors to choose from, I am not going to insist that red eyes are the theme.

That would require changing my mog away from the classic Prophecy and Benediction. That would be a crime.

Yeah, this is what Lanni and other BE fans have been saying for quite some time.

I just don’t understand why Blizzard isn’t even hinting at Dark Ranger/Undead options… I don’t want to think they’re not planning on implementing those options. Or perhaps they’re saving the best for last?

:pray:t3:

If we got undead skins with no red eyes, I could make it work with gold, but I’d continue to want red as well. But at least I’d have a starting point to voice my additional wants.

As for your scenario of red eyes, why would they give only an eye option? When they gave you the diverse skin tones, so I used undead skin tones as the analogy.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Blizzard doesn’t care about Blood Elves.

Sometimes sacrifices must be made. The Legion PvP set I mentioned has a nice Red and Gold that would fit.

what i like about the idea as a customization is, if it clashes with your mog, you just change it in barbershop. its not a race change, its a customization. you’d either select a different version of it, or select no wings.

Actually I use it on some of my other priests.

Since when does Blizzard care about Horde when they’re too busy writing storylines with Horde as a whole as well as its characters used as NPCs for the Alliance protagonists to gun down with the help of the traitorous player character?

I’m convinced they’re doing all this fancy stuff for other races to try and sway Blood Elf Players away from the most played race in the game.

Squid face Orc has a point.

Dodges villain bat.

Undead skin tones as an analogy works too, but is it an entirely new theme?

I am mot saying I am unhappy with the skin tones, it is a step closer to what I want to play, I just object to void elves, with a void racial, void hair and a look slightly closer to the void elf leader, is not still a void theme.

That is so preposterous. Blood Elves are THE most popular race. How can they not care about them? :fearful:

Problem is I’m fairly invested in my characters and their collective stories at the Pyreanor boarding house. I’m not going to level any more dudes or pay for race changes and throw the years of story away for something shallow.

I’m happy my elves with brown skin will be able to have brown skin if nothing else.

I think you have the benefit of being in a position to ask for more though. While Dark Ranger fans for BEs still have to get the basic victory you just had to be at the same level to ask for more should we not get exactly what we want, is all I’m pointing out.

For now a lot of people are happy and content to wait for more in the VE/HE department. I know I just want explicitly confirmed lore of the wayfarers for me.

And I’ll continue to advocate for the EE toggle I know you and others care about. I just can’t do it right now when Blood Elves look to be not getting the same level of love, and my favorite race might not even get our DR themes.

My other gripe is with the bracelet options. I will never use them for the simple fact that I don’t want to hide my armor or gallivant around half or mostly naked just to see certain options. Another gripe I have is that whatever color option, silver or gold, I’d have to theme my armor around it just for it to look good and match. The only jewelry option Belves have that I like is the new phoenix ear studs.

i dunno. if you listen to pyromancer, the light, which the alliance embraces fully, is actually gonna turn out to be even worse than anything else so far. iotw, the alliance gets hit with the biggest villain bat of all. of course, he also believes sargeras was right and that the life goddess is actually bad as it turns out she usurps the natural order. he’s…interesting.
