New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

I’m fully expecting to be let down.

it’d be like this then (no factions version)

blood elf
–dark ranger
–sanlayn
–felblood?
–void elf

and if no factions, then straight up high elves

blood elf
–dark ranger
–sanlayn
–felblood?
–void elf
–high elf

What type of customization options do you guys want for regular Blood Elves anyway?

I can’t think of anything else other than new hairstyles, new hair colors and tattoos.

Dark Ranger stuff and Eye Scars and Tattoos.

That’s really all I want.

I don’t care about Blue eyes, I don’t care about jewelry.

This is all I want. Well that and red eyes.

Yeah that’s what I want as well, but Dark Rangers aren’t “regular” Blood Elves.

Like, people complain about lack of customization options for Blood Elves, but what else can they be given?

Humans getting new facial rigs seems like something belfs could benefit from.

felblood wings in white/gold/black/gray

Dark Ranger things serve as a second distinct theme. Which they have set a precedent now by giving the VEs such. With the introduction of such customization I will be very happy to feel that BEs are being given decent attention, as well as my and others love of the Undead Dark Ranger Elf fantasy.

Regarding the menu ideas. There’s a reason why I’m a hard no and it has to do with my background. I’m posting from the point of view of someone who is finishing a software engineering degree and has been educated on UX design.

From a software engineering standpoint this idea means a whole new design, paperwork, mockups, programming, usability testing, reworking, and final implementation. This after they just reworked the thing. It’s a lot of work, time, and money, for no apparent benefit.

From a UX standpoint, it sounds like a total redesign and making a more difficult and user unfriendly system when there’s really no good reason for it.

What is so problematic about just letting people shuffle through options and pick what they like?

Why do people have to be restricted by some extra menu choice?

I think part of that is we don’t have a second theme, and what we have been given has been regifted to the Void Elves. And they now seemingly have more on account of a second theme.

Sand Trolls/Dark Trolls aren’t regular Trolls.

Wildhammers aren’t regular Dwarves.

High Elves aren’t regular Blood/Void Elves.

What’s regular or not is simply irrelevant now for player customization.

Just what people are currently requesting that hasn’t been added. I’m like 99% sure once this occurs you won’t see any issues from Blood Elf players.

It’d be hard to understand that they’re not given at least a few Dark Ranger/Undead options.

Especially now that Night Elves have red eyes and burned scars, which imo look like Undead.

From a pure performance standpoint adding a whole bunch of extra variables for racial groupings without a practical purpose would be a nightmare as well.

More hairstyles. Many hairstyles.

Afro-ethnic hairstyles. Afro-ponytails. Dreadlocks of varying lengths. Yas. All my yas.

Might be too much for Indie Dev Company Blizzard anyways.

That’s a good point. :+1:t3:

So basically Dark Ranger/Undead options, red eyes and tattoos. That’s all I want for Blood Elves as well.

It’s not a matter of them being incompetent, more variables means more lines of code which not only means more resource usage, but there’s moving more parts which means more stuff that can go wrong.

yeah thats why i said, i’m thinking like a web page design not a game design. its not a big deal. just yapping with me fingers
