now you’re getting it. hehe
I love wings.
No connotation required. However, humans are void corrupted arcane beings and orcs are nature corrupted arcane beings. Sargares was a fel corrupted arcane super being. Elves experience all sorts of cross contamination. Trolls are also highly mutable. So are Naruu, who normally transition.
I think white wings like those would be a wonderful light-themed option for Blood elves, and would likely only occur in those who are faithful and penitent in the light like the option to have gold eyes is. Someone should do a mock-up of those wings with white feathers.
Although I do wonder if this would apply to non-blood elves like Arator, or light-wielding high elves.
thats what i said to you yesterday. redeemed, make 'em light based/cleansed by the reignited sunwell. but, dont have to be white exclusively. can have black for people who want them for locks. for example
Well I think having black would imply that Blood elves are ingesting Fel again, so heavily that they’d begin mutating into Felbloods, which I don’t think would be entirely appropriate for the Blood elf narrative.
Which means this instead can totally be used for Velves and Velf customization (heck, the Heritage Armor kinda aludes to it now that I think about it).
So how about dropping the whole awful “Lightforged Felblood Elves” idea and pitching amore lore friendly “Void mutation that is not about tentacles but about Dark naaaru powered wings” idea?
The Havoc DH seem to host the “batwinged” demons A.K.A. the Nathrezim -Loramus Thalipedes in Legion, nuff said-.
That´s why the Havoc ones get the batwings. I wonder which demons the Vengeance ones get to host, not so familiar with rock sprouting demons.
Poor Rommath who gets criminally ignored. Though no, let me correct: LUCKY Rommath who gets criminally ignored (he already avoided the villain bat once, I don´t think he could do so twice).
That would be amazing, but without a story requirement, I doubt this could happen.
Have I mentioned I have REALLY poor faith in the writting team?
Well, Fel chaotic need to consume everything certainly doesn´t match Light need to keep all static. Doesn´t mean it´s a good idea to mix them for the lols, usually these “mix” end up translating VERY poorly in the lore (Calia, nuff said).
All the NPCs do, though.
i know he´s talking about the cosmology diagram. This doesn´t mean the idea IS a good one.
The last time devs tried to play with the cosmology chart, they birthed the lore abomination known as current Calia Menethil and destroyed a decade of Forsaken lore while at it.
Check the diagram again.
Do I need to repeat again why I believe it´s bad to alude to clearly villain groups in customization options?
Not lately. And take THIS into account, cause it would be the current lore team obssesed with villain batting the Horde the one in charge of explaining the stuff.
It should apply for every light zealot, me thinks.
I still think it would be MUCH better to avoid extreme mutation thanks to extreme devotion to some magic, regardless of it´s origin.
Plumage is made of keratin. Wouldn’t it make sense to match hair color?
what about their height? i think being able to use that as a customization also, would work wonders for reestablishing belf exclusivity
interesting idea.
Well I think it’s mostly appropriate on elves because of their sensitivity to magic in general, which is why we don’t have golden eyes on any other race that hasn’t been light-forged. Plus no other race is constantly connected to a source of light magic.
Well it really depends I guess, if the light is what is causing it, it makes much more sense that it would be thematically in-line with it, as it’s not a natural formation through their body.
Like when a paladin or priest get their wings, it’s not the color of their hair, but rather a reflection of light, or shadow, which I believe would apply here as well.
I think height would be an amazing option, but I do worry that it would be difficult because size differences cause a lot of issues with animations and such.
Unfortunately, this is Blizzard, their vision never matches players.
And again, she is a Naaru. She is of the Light, she is not THE light. If she had been all that represented the light, her death would have meant the death of the light. They simply are beings of each power just a titans were of arcane,
I want it to be independent, and besides, the curtains need not match the wings.
That requires a new model.
Not if they happen thanks to extreme magical mutation.
Any “extreme ingestion” of “any” energy that causes visible mutations of the sort of “wings” is NOT a good thing. Doesn´t send a good message regarding the “we saw the problems with magical dependence and we´re trying to move on from depending WHOLLY from this stuff” either -though I concede the “redemption” on TBC was so pathetic Belves literally learned NOTHING and went happily back to depending on the overrated magical battery-".
You know, this can be used as a cautionary tale, yeah give the wings but be prepared to get villain batted whilke at it (the ONLY reason I´d accept a Belf villain batting is if they finally ditch the ridiculous Sunwell dependence and go the path of the Nightborne.
well test it on a belf that can use time warp/battle drums/etc. see how tall ya get? about as tall as a nelf. that should be okay right?
its not a new model its just some math. sorta like how ya get bigger if you use time warp, as a mage. or lust as a shaman. etc. its just math. it scales.
So a model size scaler? Why would that be exclusive to belves? If it’s added, every race should get it.
Mini Tauren, ho!
A model scaler wouldn’t work in the sense you think it does.
You need a new model.
it wouldnt be a scaler though. you’d get the height as an option and it’d be the same height increase. and since its a feature of a belf adjacent race, itd be a belf adjacent feature. but maybe the felbloods dont rejoin till after velfs leave so velfs dont get access.
i’m trying to find belf exclusivity ideas. lol
Why would felbloods bring a height option with them?
