New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

I don’t think height would be the way to go for that.

cause they drank fel, vs. normal belfs who were just in proximity to fel crystals. and it made them taller as well as sprout wings, apparently. go visit sunwell raid.

Go to Tempest Keep. Tall regular belves.

Those are just raid mobs. Tons of raid mobs are enormous compared to the player characters.

And they aren´t shy over screwing up 10 years old + maybe more customers, I know. My Forsaken fan buddies that left the game with disgust in this expac say “Hi”.

Doesn´t mean asking for it is a good thing.

Light and arcane mix. also, Golden eyes are NOT a Sunwell derivated thing, they are a “I´m such a Light worshipper I make the SC look like noobs!!” devotion thing.

So if a mage get them cause he gorges in arcane (you know, the actual stuff regarding the Kyrian in SL) the elf gets “blue wings”?)

Heck, the whole Kyrian thing actually shows why this is a bad idea ffs…

guys guys gals gals zee’s zee’s, i 'm trying. i cant do everything hehe

They like alienating their playerbase.

I sometimes wonder for our mental health… is borderline abusive how they can act so horribly and we let them.

Oh I know! Since the Sunwell is part Arcane, the Belves get an option to be Arcaneforged, which turns them blu— wait…

While I do like the idea of a height-slider, I fear that idea runs into a lot of issues in regards to how the models operate. They would need to do some heavy rigging in order to get it to work properly.

I think it matters how they’re implemented, and how the lore justifies their development. I don’t think you get wings from gorging on just any source of magic either, as feeding on too much Arcane simply makes Blood elves wretched.

While I agree that I don’t like the idea of it being considered a mutation I’d prefer it simply reflect an individual’s faith and devotion within the light, as wings are a common graphic for any individual ascending in holy magic. But for those who prefer, and draw upon the arcane Source of the Sunwell would remain unaffected.

And in the end, it would always remain optional so it’s not like a Light-forged draenei who’s physical disparities from normal Draenei merited a whole new allied race.

So far as this customization doesn´t take resources out from more general ideas like the tatoos or the scars, it´s fine.

But I´d absolutely hate it if devs implement this stuff (that, have you wondered how it can graphically clash and clip BADLY with the armor) and nothing else cause “muh poor wittle indie company limited resources!!”.

Just as bad as the bead ornament jewerly, just not as lazy but more as “stop wasting resoruces in ONE option that only works for some very niche players”.

This would personally be my main concern with any “corrupting” themes. I simply don’t want Blizzard to turn the Blood Elves into yet another “evil horde race” story then having us and everybody else kill them. We’re already super thin on faction leaders and meaningful NPCS at this point, after losing three in BFA alone…

Oh, I totally agree, and the only reason I like it as an idea is because the model already exists, and would merely require some retexturing in order to be implemented. I also enjoy that they’re relatively small, and point directly back, and not outward to the sides where it could potentially clip through their armor, and body.

We have to remember that the Night elves first wave of actual customization was relatively uninspiring, and lazy as well, so I have faith that the next wave of Blood elf customization will be far more exciting and impressive for the players, especially since they know it’s the most popular, and played race in the game.

Man, the moment you are watching the “Horde Racial Council” cinematic and realize Lor´themar is -with the exception of Thrall-, the only SURVIVING VETERAN on the Horde roster of Horde leaders. LOR´THEMAR!!! Ex-who?, Ex-Bob Lor´themar!!!

As you say, I don´t think people realizes how their petitions can BADLY impact the race.

Actually, it doesn´t. Just like the Nightborne NPCs, the Felblood elves NPCs are a Blood Elf TBC esqueleton with the wings and armor painted over it.

It would actually requiere a TON of work to be implemented. Just for animation alone.

2 different kind of animals imho. The Nelves got kicked hard with the Teldrassil thing, but the devs were quick to try to correct and give relevance to their complains and worries. Forsaken players on the other hand, STILL have the threat of Calia as “racial leader” pending on their heads, and got villain batted and ignored for all their troubles.

I´m probably too cynical, but I see the effort put on tyhe Nelf customizations as some bizarre “compensation” for Teldrassil. I doubt devs will care too much over a race that has guaranteed playerbase if only thank to “Demon Hunters”.

While my boyfriend always says its safer to be pessimistic as to not be let-down, rather than getting your hopes dashed, I want to say that I’m pretty confident that Blood elves still have a whole slew of things coming in their next customization batch.

The fact that the Blood elves are the most popular race seems more like evidence that they would work hard on doing it justice, rather than upset a majority of their playerbase by playing it lazy.

Who knows, after BfA my faith in Blizzad devs is at a whole time low… I don´t expect “good stuff” I just expect mediocre one.

I hope so.

Keep in mind Blood Elves were the last race to get a model update.

This attitude isn’t productive for a public forum where discussions occur.

As a matter of fact it´s the MOST productive attitude to avoid further fighting. If people continues dwelling ad nauseaum in what they DISAGREE upon, the whole thing becomes a toxic pool of blaming.

And I´d kindly extend the same suggestion to you: if my posts end up being SO terribly aggravating, make your life easier by proxy of putting me on ignore, period. A win-win for all sides me thinks.

The ignore toll exist PRECISELY for such reasoning.

On top of that, it’s no longer even the same Thrall who found the Horde… The Lord of the clans, the shaman… NONE of that anymore. He was reduced to a wood cutting Axe wielding generic warrior… because everybody on the Alliance complained about “Green Jesus”, when he had to take the aspect of earth role and help the Dragons save the world from Deathwing. The sky was falling everywhere here in the forums because of that.

Meanwhile you have Alliance characters like Jaina, who’s been doing her crazy one man army nonsense, for how many expansions now? Hell if a Horde NPC did even half as she did in BFA’s cinematics, raid, ingame alone, the forums would be crying and calling for that NPC’s head in an instant. I mean even Anduin magically transformed from a fragile boi prince, to leaping and destroying a massive siege tank with his father’s blade over the course of a what it seemed like a year.

Then you turn around and you see “Horde bias” being used in these forums. Incredible.
