An important theme of these elves is very much their faction, history and internal conflict.

As someone that played Night Elves almost exclusively for a decade, and who now is playing Nightborne, itâs pretty clear that Nightborne are just Horde-aligned Night Elves already.
If Blizzard wants to add a few shades of purple that are more vibrant, more decidedly Night Elf, it isnât going to be a radical departure from what they already are â the Alliance has tall, purple-skinned Night Elves and the Horde has tall, purple-skinned Night Elves.

So if Iâm reading correctly there is no difference between belfs and velfs anymore, right?
Why did they add the skin tones if the problem was about eye color?
Is there a chance devs will go back on their choice about the skin color? Seems like that is the real catalyst for Horde anger that could have been avoided if Blizz stopped at the eyes.
(Personally, Iâd rather have Alliance have access to blue eyes I canât have rather than access to the belf skin colors. Theyâre void elfs- they should be blue/purple imo.)

Nightborne only have like 3 skin tones though⌠more would be appreciated. Especially some red ones, and the azshara blues.

We agree, and the point wasnât to suggest that Blizzard shouldnât give more options to Nightborne.
It was posited by someone else that Blizzard should make Nightborne share more colors with Night Elves, so that it would be clear there was overlap (which is fine, by all means). I was merely pointing out that, for most people, it is already clear that there is overlap between the two groups. If you see a Night Elf and Nightborne, side-by-side, and donât intuit that theyâre closely related⌠well, call your eye doctor as soon as reasonably possible.

Hopefully theyâll not let Void Elves have any Blood Elf hair options, it would be great if they at least kept some visual difference between the races.

The lines that the devs are drawing are like freaking zigzags at this point lol
Warm skin for everyone, blue eyes for everyone
No belf hair for velf, but velf do already have dark hair that belfs have.

I think there are several distinct differences, we wonât know the extent to which until the rest of the customization options surface.
What we do know is that the blood elves have some unique hairstyles, Silvermoon City, Quelâthalas, the Blood Knights, all the red armor you can ask for, golden eyes, green eyes. Thereâs a lot the blood elves have that the void elves will never get.
I think it remains to be seen, but I imagine they will cross pollinate some hairstyles and hair colors, but itâs likely the void elves and blood elves will have access to some unique eye colors of their own and hairstyles as well.
Iâm so excited to see what they come up with! Iâm so so so grateful that I can be an Allerian Void Elf, I can wear the Silver Covenant tabard, rock my Quelâdorei steed, have my blue eagle talon set, match with Thoriâdal. Itâs a dream come true really. 
I hope you get some customizations that really gets you jazzed too.

And just because my main before my BC belf was an undead, Iâm on board for the Nathanos-brand undead OR the any-race-but-theyâre-undead-model. They deserve some love after all this time lol

(Commentary): I disagree. At this point, they may as well go all in. At the least Blond and White hair colors, and at least 3 Blood Elf hair styles for each gender, particularly the ones Lore NPCs like Vereesa, Auric, and Arator all use.

What do you mean when you say low elves? Are you thinking trolls, or are you thinking like the mana fiends from either Legion or the BE starting area?
I think if they give all the non-voidy versions of the haircuts to Blood Elves, that would please them. I noticed a fair number of posts back when they were new asking for that and generally admiring the long curls and male beards.
In return perhaps Void Elves can get some of the ânormalâ styles and a few standard elf colours, but not the red shades.

Fellow void elves, are you already farming those transmogs that goes well with fair skin? Iâm sick of using purple already.
Also, do you plan to use transmogs more based on the renâdoreisâ identity or the high elvesâ identity?

Definitely the high elven identity. Thereâs a few pieces I definitely want, so itâs exciting to keep hunting for them.
