New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

Why not the red shades?

Red really seems special to Blood Elves, for obvious reasons.

Anyway it’s probably dyed.

Brown, light blue, blonde are all fine. Plus remember Void Elves get the extra purple, blue and indigo shades, which already fit the blue themed High Elves.

I also wouldn’t object to some of the new more unusual skin tones, like that golden hue and such staying with Blood Elves, as again Void Elves have the purple options and it seems fair to have a pretty much even number of options for both. Plenty of cross-over but a few unique selections.

I think they should have the same colors honestly. I wouldn’t be opposed to belves getting some void elf hair colors too.

Ooohhhh myyy godddddd

Yesssss

Congratulations to everyone who fought to make this a reality.

And a big HAW HAW DUCK EARS to all the haters, anti-HElfers and negative/nasty people who fought us tooth and nail because they are small, petty people who dont want others to enjoy the game.

If you go to the starting zone of velfs, you can see that only a tiny minority of them are the real velfs, even Ion said that they are so small in numbers that at the beginings they were more like a elite squad, so when you go to the starting zone you can see SILVERMOON scholars (blood elves) and High Elves coming from portals to get started to the void school, so canon wise we can say that after Legion and between BFA, velfs numbers went up by new blood elves and high elves, so at the end alliance is getting blood elves and high elves at same time, that’s why is logic to have the skin color and even velfs should have the hair cuts.

Will Nightborne get Night Elf cross-customization?
What about Taunka options for Highmountain Tauren?

Please don’t let the great improvements stop here (otherwise us Horde players might think it’s just pandering to the Alliance - the Battle for Azeroth may be coming to a close, but there’s still a lot of animosity alive).

I wonder if the High Elf threads will stop. Because people kept saying Blood Elves and Void Elves are not High Elves.

All Alliance got was Blood Elves on Alliance.

Not true, let me explain, at the begining of velfs, yes, theres were only a few belfs that got accidentally “mutated” to the void, but it was a really tiny small number, after legion and between BFA belfs and high elves started coming to the starting zone of the velfs to learn the void school, so canon wise, we have blood and high elves becoming velfs but after the “accident”, so that’s why they are not purple since they are only learning the void not becoming one as the first velfs.

Yes, it’s even explicit in the Rift itself.

There are High Elves and more recent Blood Elves standing around learning. It makes absolute sense that these new normal skin options represent these new additions and not that original ‘crack team’ of Blood Elves that Alleria recruited.

Anyway it’s all summed up nicely in Taliesin’s new video.

It’s one day later. It’s your comment that won’t age well.

That just makes it worse.

Howso? There’s not a single controversial topic that’s dropped in a day.

Neither side is especially happy and they’re going to keep whining for a time. But there’s frankly nothing to whine about, and in a few days (or weeks), the topic will go away.

And if I’m wrong, I’ll happily eat my words. But I’m not going to do so yet. The bottom line is that it really IS settled now, and they’ll have no choice but to shut up.

so blood elves finally get an eye color that makes sense but we have to share our complete likeness with void elves? what the ? we all know blood elves are the high elves, its a complete perversion of our chosen race. cant believe blizzard caved to fanfiction and completely disrespects the story they created for the high elves from the RTS into WoW. void elves chose to become corrupted by the void but they get to look exactly like a blood elf(high elf)? blood elves get jack and most of us would have been fine with no blue eyes if it meant we stayed unique. its hysterical

If their justification(s) for the customization options don’t involve explicitly stating that High Elves adjoined themselves with the Void Elves, and especially if they continue to utilize non-Void-riddled High Elves as NPC’s, the issue will be considered far from settled.

As of this moment, all they’ve done is made Void Elves a more acceptable compromise. It remains to be seen whether or not this actually addresses the issue of playable High Elves.

They’re going to need a swol option to match them too.

Hell yeah.

I guess all the high elf NPC’s that Blizzard keeps shoving in our faces on Alliance side since WoTLK are all “fan fiction” now.

You don’t own anything, it’s their story to tell. Weren’t you all gloating when Ion made his “the Horde is waiting for you” comment awhile back?

Indeed.

Also it can’t be considered lying on Ion’s part because things change. It was true in 2018 or whenever it was he said that, but it won’t be when Shadowlands releases.

It is amusing that people -conveniently- forget about elves that exist on Alliance, and have done, prominently, for years.
