In fact, my joy will be to see the horde squirming to see the alliance catch something they definitely didn’t want the alliance to catch (ever), like another compromise ™ made by Blizzard.
Amazing news! Now to be extremely greedy and ask: Can Void Elves please be paladins? I don’t care if I explode in a horrible death whenever I cast a light spell!
I imagine that’s what’s happening here. Otherwise void Elves would have green eyes. Blue Eyes would represent Alliance high elves drinking that void Coolaide.
Can we also have Void Elf Druids? I don’t care if they’re shape shift have to also be voidform.
Yes. And now after that balanced trade, Alliance is getting more. You already got the trade right? Now you’re getting the full appearance, and at least as of me writing this, Alliance is getting AR customization before the horde is. Just be honest and don’t pretend that BFA stuff, or customization options that are in line with what all core races are supposed to get this expansion balances out this extra you’re getting now.
I garner no enjoyment from seeing Horde players being upset by this. I have never wanted Blood Elves on the Alliance…i have always wanted HIGH ELVES.
However i do think this is an elegant solution in many ways and of course since i have been waiting almost 16 years for this to be a thing i am going to enjoy it.
Honestly i don’t understand why Horde players would be upset by it, it takes nothing away from the Horde, they still can play all the things they could before AND have new options to play with. What i feel is mostly restored is the option to be an Alliance High Elf because i have wanted this since the game went live and i felt that the High Elves were taken from the Alliance wrongfully and not allowed for garbage reasons that Blizzard then destroyed when they introduced Void Elves to begin with. Not all of my Void Elves will have this option as i still think there are VERY COOL options within the original Void Elf customizations but yes some of my Void Elves will be depicted as High Elves going forward.
Now i just need Blizzard to give me more character slots to make more toons with.
You just need to explain how they are going to do this, since void belves were born from an accident and no matter how much a blood elf studies arcane. He does not become an arcane’dorei.
The same is true for a High Elf who decides to study the void.
Unless Blizzard invents a magic chamber in which the High Elf bathes in the void desecration, so that it becomes a void belf, I don’t see a reasonable way for that to happen.
Now elves will be as diverse as the varieties of kryptonite that existed in the silver age of Superman.
Each with its burlesque effect. Looking forward to seeing a pink elf.
Once again, I am so glad to have the totally unbiased posters in here to inform me how I should and should not feel. Very convenient for them to decide what’s allowed for those of us that aren’t as enlightened as they are.
^^ This guy gets it!
I was pretty positive about new customizations, but now I see that I must be angry and cynical.
Enjoy. If you’re happy that’s great.
I’m just bitter after the beating the stuff I relate with in the game has taken the last couple expansions, and how this feels like more of the same. I don’t appreciate it when people make arguments about how no one is allowed to think that something they like is not the best thing for the game. Which is what I was commenting about. I’m not gonna act like you’re not allowed to enjoy things.
I’m also a bit pessimistic about my lowbie void elf I made since apparently when people I know come back to the game they don’t come back to the guild they used to be in but reroll alliance on a whole new server. And I like the void-ness of them, and with this I wonder how watered down they’ll be and how much of any additional customization options will be bland stuff and not neat void stuff. (I’ll admit, if they gave them the belf skins but with massive glowing void blotches ALL over it, I’d go to one of thos skin tones in an instant, that leans even more into their actual theme than the skins they currently have)
If they had white/peach skin, but but with a bunch of void “tears” or “holes” in them, I would be entirely fine with that. The fact they were just given Blood Elf skins, with no alterations, ruining the aesthetic differences and homogenizing them is the entire problem.
Now they just need N’Zoth eyes for Void Elves.
Or, well, just give them to everybody as an option if they do the gift quest line.
Each to their own.
I kinda like the option for a more Alleria type customization where you’re keeping it in more in check but then get the purple buff, as you do, in combat showing what was bubbling under the surface.
It also to an extent appeases the High Elf crowd in that if they choose they can at least look like a High Elf even if they have to ignore the race’s established lore for their head-cannon.
I wonder what bad thing they’ll do to balance it out now… Double xp, double rep, high elves…
We’ll probably have to get pvp rank 200 and do 5,000 instanced expeditions and beat a few mythic raid bosses for pathfinder 1 then wait 3 years for pathfinder 2. That or give horde a gnome warchief. Or give alliance legendary gear for killing 25 horde players while flagging hordies as pvp during assaults… It’ll be something to inspire a new megathread on the forums…
And Blood Elf Druids! Please.
Thanks, Blizz. This seems a compromise to please most.
Now, please help the Nightborne.
They had an interview where they said Void Elves are trying to replicate the process and if their forces in BFA are anything to go by they were successful.
Honestly Miriel, as much as I would love to see a Blood Elf Druid, I think it wouldn’t work to these:
- Blood Elves can be almost every single class except for Druids and Shamans (currently). If Blood Elves can become every single class, then well, everyone would probably roll Blood Elf on Horde, and then every other race would be useless and low in numbers.
- Since Alliance is the only thing with a playable Elven Druid, and the Horde is the only one with a playable Elven Paladin, then a trade must be made.
- Wizards: I walked into one and he said I shall not pass.
Agree’d. The Nightborne actually do need quite a lot of help.
I know, I can still dream.
I’d be happy with Vulpera Druids. But I cannot deny my enduring love for Elves, and I’d be happy to see even more Elvish Races join the Game.
(Tolkien had the right idea.)
Actually, one thing, and is a must, that I definently want, is a Pandaren Druid.
Oh, can you imagine there bear form means getting down on all 4’s and shouting roar.
