New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

Ah, i see you’ve been drinking the same koolaid the lore-incorrect antis have, because a racial ability, is not what makes Void Elves Void Elves, what makes Void Elves Void Elves is the Blood Elf model and the Void aesthetic, that’s it.

You act as if the racial is required to make sure people know it’s a Void Elf, good thing how i want my character to look has next to 0 effect on you gameplay wise hu?

Doesn’t effect you though if someone else wants to disable the visual effect or have an alternative visual effect.

Again, doesn’t effect you if there was an ALT option to make it arcane if High Elves and Void Elves are mixing together under the same banner. Player customization is a good thing. You would still be able to be “voided” if you wanted.

I’m not sure if I ever hid the fact I wanted High Elves to begin with? I’ve said several times they should have been High Elves from the start and that Void Elves should have came with them as a bonus option/sub group.

Oh okay. I didn’t know you worked for Blizzard and know exactly what’s going to happen. Thanks for clarifying that!

I would say what they have been drinking, but it will give me a forum vacation.

Surprising exactly 0 people:

The Anti agenda has always been about denying player choice when it doesn’t affect them even remotely.

Good Thing Shadows is back, at least she doesn’t try to hide it. :man_shrugging:

Clan and tribe does not equal race. Dwarves are dwarves and trolls are trolls.

Because you keep asking for a toggle for EE.

So Worgen should be able to fight in human form? What would be the point of playing a Worgen then? It’s the same thing with Void Elves and Entropic Embrace.

Why should Void Elves have an arcane based racial? It makes zero sense and takes away from their identity.

That isn’t what happened. Sorry if you don’t like how the story went, but lore is lore. Could have, would have, should have is irrelevant.

So you guys come in and demand that EVERYTHING which makes Void Elves what they are be changed, and you’re surprised that people take offense to it? You’re darn right I came back. Wanting playable High Elves is one thing, but wanting to de-void Void Elves is quite another. I’m not gonna stand by while you demand a race that I like be completely gutted and turned into something else.

So, where in this post that you’re replying too is talking about racials?

And Elves are Elves. Just because Void Elves are infused with the Void does not mean they are a new race.

We’re just wanting options, which would be optional. Those who want void effects will use them, those who don’t want them won’t.

I mean, it was a couple posts up from the one quoted, but c’mon

Sorry, i know you think this equates to this scenario, it doesn’t.

Turning not blue to blue is different than changing an entire model during combat.

Literally no one has DEmAnDED that Void Elves be changed, but that more options be given to fit in-line with the High Elf aesthetic that has unfortunately been hot glued to them.

Then i guess like most people in the forums, you are misinformed and throwing a tantrum for an issue that does not exist.

We want Void Elf customization that puts them closer to the High Elf aesthetic, if you want Void Elf customization that puts them closer to the niche Void aesthetic, that’s on you.

This is the consequence of what has happened with these skin tones my dear.

And we’re the greedy unreasonable ones.

Awww sweetie, you’ve never been greedy.

I guess it all depends on the intent behind this. If the skin is meant just as velf customization and nothing additional is being added it might be best to keep asking for high elves to be their own ar.

If it’s meant to be for high elf customization though, there’s no reason we can’t ask for more ways to be high elves.

I love felblood elves and would love customizations to make one.

You without a hood is wrong, put it back on.

I started on that grind about a week ago. Got the Tabard and the Steed. Working on the Hippogryph! So excited, haha.

So all elves are the same? Of course not. Night Elves were transformed by the Well of Eternity. High/Blood Elves were transformed by the Sunwell. Void Elves were transformed by the void. Only High and Blood Elves are arguably the same race.

The void effects are part of being a Void Elf. If you don’t like them, then play another race.

No it isn’t. It’s literally the same thing. Your character is transformed while in combat due to their racial ability.

You are getting new skin and hair options. Isn’t that enough?

You are literally getting this for Shadowlands. You can have normal skin and hair. You can play a ranger or magister. You can’t get any more of a High Elf aesthetic without being a regular High Elf. But I suppose that’s what you want, isn’t it?

Right? How dare I want to keep the void in Void Elves!

There is no reason to believe it is anything more then Void Elf customization. RP whatever you want, but leave my racials alone.

See that’s the beauty of options. Me shutting mine off has zero effect on your character.

Void Elves are still thalassians. These new customization options are proof. I don’t know why you guys started making this idea up. Blizzard has never said Void Elves aren’t thalassian elves anymore, and they probably never will… because they are thalassian elves. Same people, speak the same language, come from the same city–they’re thalassians.

So glad I got all of that a long time ago. I think back in cata.

Steed, Tabard and the Hippogryph. It’ll be nice finally having a reason to use them all.

So you get that an “effect” is not equal to AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT MODEL, right?

Probably not.

As far as I know, were only getting new skin options, I haven’t seen new hair styles or color as of yet.

Yes, let’s just ignore their story in WoW and forget about expanding that, as long as we get new skin and hair options, it’s obviously enough.
