Well, I don’t want to change the racial completely, just wanting to disable the effect of turning blue. Or atleast just hiding it if that is a better way to put it.
Yeah, I don’t care if it’s void damage, called entropic embrace, whatever. I just want the option to turn off the visual.
Shadowfrost actually.
The more you know!
Stop. Everything new I learn, all the old runs out.
I think when people say “disable” or “get rid of” they 99% of the time mean turning off the hideous visual flare.
Much like High Elves, most forum goers don’t take the time to look into what’s being discussed.
Yeah, it proves they don’t read anything. Like honestly, they should just read a post properly, before jumping right in and then trying to make it sound different.
Blizzard would have to put effort into changing the nails and underwear on the new Void Elf skins, right? I wonder if that’d be incentive to make them go the extra mile and just add new hair colours and maybe even haircuts too?
- More Hair Styles and Hair Colours, including shades of Blonde, Red, Brown, Black.
- Options to disable or hide the Entropic Embrace effect of turning blue.
- Paladins for the Void Elves (Though, I don’t really agree with this idea, but since I don’t play a Paladin, it doesn’t effect me that others are wanting VE Pallies)
I’m fine if the visual effect is able to be toggled off even if the effect stays the same as “Shadow Damage” or w/e.
But i’m also fine if they make an alternative to it that would be the same thing but arcane flavored. I’m fine with either as long as we have a way to turn that annoying Void look off.
Nay. Void elves should show their voidy nature just like Worgen show their wolfy nature.
Denied. Makes no sense.
Yess!! I really want to play a Void Elf paladin!! Would be so dopee!!! <3
Hmmm, where is that Moms Friendly Robot Mechagnome? Haven’t seen him around today… I don’t think
I’m still of the mind the race should be renamed to High Elf or offer a player tag to label your character as “Void Elf” or “High Elf” to allow them to have the paladin option and maybe a few other options if they wanted to go the druid and shaman route.
A nice bonus would be if somehow we got a heritage armor set for them too. I don’t know if they’d do that but the horde counterpart to that could be blood elves getting Dark Ranger/San’layn customization and the ability to tag themselves as such at the expense of losing Paladins but gaining that extra heritage armor.
Honestly, I don’t care about what the name is. Just because it says “Void Elf” on the nameplate, does not mean we have to be a Void Elf.
After all, it is pretty clear in which direction Blizzard is moving with the customisations, and instead of just reskin of core races as to having Allied Races, it is giving us the option to be the race we really want to be. As as a Wildhammer Dwarf, instead of a Bronzebeard Dwarf, or a Sand Troll instead of a Darkspear Troll, or a High Elf instead of a Void Elf.
I agree! Maybe it’s because i love the idea of my High Elf also going voidy, it is no bother to me at all!
Oh, I am planning on keeping my Warrior as “Void” as possible, but my Warlock, gonna make it look like a Silver Covenant Mage, though, just working on the rep for the Silver Covenant for the tabard. My Shaman, gonna bring that over next week, but gonna be a Dwarf on that so it can be WILDHAMMER!
My mage, might keep that as Horde, but gonna race change it when I get the chance to Nightborne.
Yesss!! You HAVE to share to us what they look like! I have also working on my High Elf Priestess’s 7th legion outfit. I’m hoping for the blonde hair to go along with a Stormwind Tabard and all blue regalia!
It’s part of the Void Elf identity. If Alleria has to use it when in combat, so does everyone else.
Nope, it’s void, not arcane. Turning void is part of being a Void Elf.
Exactly. A Worgen that never uses their Worgen form might as well be Human.
Thank’s for confirming you aren’t actually interested in playing a Void Elf to begin with but just want to turn them into High Elves. No, NPCs will never address you as a High Elf. No, paladin, druid and shaman makes no sense for Void Elves. No, they won’t be getting a 2nd heritage armor set. If Mag’har Orc, Dwarves and Trolls have to share 1 heritage set among all skin options, so do Void Elves.
Yes it does. You are a literal Void Elf regardless of what skin you chose.
Dwarves and Trolls aren’t getting separate racials for the new skins, and neither are Void Elves.
They don’t necessarily have to go that far, but they could do something similar to that. Instead of getting brand new heritage armor, Blizzard could simply just reskin their existing one and make it silver/blue, like the Mag’har have.
I like the idea of sub-races in the form of customization, though. I’ve seen a concept going around, and I think it’s really awesome. Just have a toggle that locks/enables a few options and you’d basically be good to go. We’d have our potential High Elf paladins if that was the case.
Well, you might of well tell Dwarves that they are still Bronzebeard Dwarf, regardless of the Wildhammer customisations, or Trolls are still Darkspear Trolls, regardless of there customisations, etc.
How does racials come in to effect with my post when I mentioned nothing about racials in that post?
