It will be my fault. I will be consumed by my thirst for vengeance and become a dungeon boss.
Was hoping to raid your panty drawer.
That happens, but in a different dungeon.
Sorry, I missed your reply.
Yes, they are. But people like them because they are established. ANd they are easy to understand: they are exiles that seek a life away from home due to a political choice. They donât need special explanations like where they come from or how more of them are made. Most fans think their choice back then was the right one as well.
That their lore is frozen itâs a pity. Thatâs something that every helf fan wants to see addressed.
Personally, I think high and void elves should work together. Not the former turning into the later, but as a kind of relationship like gilneans/worgen. The void elves would be the guardians of that society, and joining the void elves is seen as a great honor and a sacrifice for the comunity that only those who pass the trials can perform. That could explain where void elves are coming from, and why high elves accept to become them despite their usual disdain for unsafe magic.
That would also allow both of their lores to evolve together, and would make people feel more at ease with the idea of playing void elves instead of high elves. The new skins help it a lot, but I was suggesting that since the void elves were first announced.
well how are we all tonight/today?

are you sure? haha
Very sure.
nothing is better than having two months of content to go through.
Itâs certainly a story they can portray but at the end of the day if the story demands there be a legion of High Elves there will always be a Legion of High Elves. Even if theyâre refugees generations from now (ingame timeline wise) living in human lands. If the story demands thereâs still pure blooded High Elves they will be there.
And I highly doubt blizzard will ever kill High Elves off or have them entirely mix away into the human population. If they wanted to do that they would have done it long ago. Especially when they had the opportunity to do so with Void Elves. and now we see them adding High Elf aesthetics to Void Elves sooâŠ
This is probably a result of them trying to force Void Elves into that position which failed because people were still asking for High Elves. Yet despite this the High Elves still made appearances.
Not even every player race shows up for a prominent role in every single expansion. Aside from that though High Elves I would argue have more participation in the overall Alliance story throughout WoW than many of the playable races have.
They obviously werenât seeded to become playable, otherwise we wouldnât have had Void Elves. Itâs just too bad Blizzard decided to homogenize the factions rather than let the Blood Elf aesthetic go. Hopefully Void Elves just absorb the remaining Alliance high elves, so we can forget about them and I donât have to have their story thrust on me again in the future.
Just imagine if it turns out that we were all going to die when Azeroth hatches but everyone get so come back to life because sheâs âonly just kidding evilâ and WoWâs writers are without scruples.
Donât take this for word but i think someone posted on twitter that thereâs a shadowlands build for tomorrow (or today)!
I hope thatâs true⊠and even more I hope it includes the new Void Elf options so I can play with them in the wowhead dressing room and stop using Blood Elf stand-inâs with the wrong hair.
Well, most of the story and background of Void Elves - as in the current purple ones - is EXACTLY that of Blood Elves.
So just look at them as Blood Elves with a dash of naughty void antics for the past few years.
Also I donât think a quest is even required. Isnât it hint enough having High Elf NPCs standing about in the Rift? Every so often a new one walks in-- so they are obviously increasing their ranks with Alliance High Elves and also more Blood Elf converts.
These new recruits are learning the ways of the void differently to how the original A-Team did. Again, thatâs already explicit in game.
The High Elf Wayfarers are indeed a welcome indicator. Iâd just like more in-game dialogue talking about it. Doesnât have to be a quest or even a multi-page dialogue tree from the NPCs. Just a short blurb about why they came to Telogrus, beyond some vague âa path denied us is now openâ. Like âI came to join the legendary Alleria Windrunner and fight for the Alliance under the banner of the Renâdorei!â is at least a real indicator that they are there for more than just sight seeing and perhaps reading the brochure.
Another thing Iâd like to see is for an NPC like say, Instructor Duskwalker (Telogrus Void Elf NPC), having some dialogue talking about the actual process by which new members of the Renâdorei are inducted that might offer an in-game reason why these new Void Elves are able to retain their normal appearance.
Even just a blurb like âWith Alleria and Locus Walkerâs guidance, the elves now seeking to join the Renâdorei have managed to avoid many of the physical changes those of us serving Magister Umbric underwent when trapped in Prince Durzaanâs ritual.â would be nice.
God, who ever shared this tweet earlier, this is gold

We got void elves because there was a change of plans at the last moment.
Which is why void elves werenât seeded in Legion, and end up getting a poor introduction and were never properly fleshed out.
Danuser said that void elves only came to be after they had finished Alleriaâs story in 7.3.
So what was being seeded before that decision? Nothing?
Alamara, lets just drop it. Weâre getting our High Elves, lets just request for an option to disable the effect of Entropic Embrace, and for more hair styles and hair colours.
Yes to more hair options.
No to disabling Entropic Embrace.

There are signs pointing to being able to customizing Entropic Embraceâs skin and hair colors, thought.
I donât think you can disable it entirely, but you can reduce the effect to the point itâs just a hue over your character, like this:
Without EE:
Skin enabled/Hair disabled:
