New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

I like the top option the best. Oh, would love to have the option of hiding that effect.

I’m hoping they let us do the skin and hair separately so we can make our Void form look like Alleria’s.

There were datamined strings that indicate that possibility, called Secondary Skin Color and Secondary Hair Color. I’m hoping it turns out to be real.

I am hoping so too. Would be cool if we could customize the effect of Entropic Embrace to whether hiding the effect, turning extremely blue, or only the armor gets effected.

Yeah but the original is Ion’s, “Sort Of” comment. Which was adopted by trolls to harass people.

The amount of people who say it genuinely rather than because they just don’t know anything about the lore or are trying to troll people is small.

So the idea of Blizzard changing their games lore based on that would be bizarre and sad.

The trolling will continue on the forums, sure, but if they decided to change the lore and punish Alliance players because of some Horde trolls that’s the worst precedent that you can set.

It’s amusing to see the helfers being overjoyed about skin color with no story/lore for void elves when those same helfers hated void elves because there was no ‘story’.

I never “hated” Void Elves - I hated the fact that they were Blood Elves instead of High Elves. And lack of background is definitely something negative, but not the main reason why I didn’t fully like them.

And, as I told you several times now, we are happy about skin colors because we can finally roleplay our High Elves adequately, even if we still don’t have confirmation that these Void Elves are actually High Elves or not.

Not sure why you’re still not willing to bury the hatchet, it’s almost like you take joy in making these snarky comments.

So why isn’t this good enough? Why are many still trying to change racials and add paladins?

People aren’t trying to change the racials, they are asking to change the VISUALS of the racials.

Use the right terms because it sounds like you’re deliberately misrepresenting what people are asking for. I think also you’ll find it isn’t in fact ‘so many’ asking for Paladins.

As I’ve said, I’m not against adding them or particularly in favour either. If Blizz do decide to though, a new class option for a Horde race would also be required.

Why are you so pressed about what other people want is the real question? Why would i purposefully go out of my way and deny anyone their fun when it doesn’t affect me?

It’s just honestly very spiteful and nasty behavior.

Has anyone been able to find any confirmation yet that these are high elf customizations?

Still haven’t gotten confirmation from anyone (solid facts from blizz only please, not because high elves have blue eyes and because they’re in telogrus rift, those aren’t solid facts especially now that there’s an expansion with new lore with know nothing about).

This debate needs to end

I love your mogg!! Especially the flower crown! D:

Thank you! I’m so happy they made it permanent. It’ just goes so will with my skintone/hair color.

And how excited was I to see that new void elf eyes are going to match my shoulder graphics PERFECTLY.

Right?! It does go AMAZING with your colors!

Yess! I’m so hype! Are you going to keep your skin tone or just change the eye color?

I’ll probably play around with the skintones a little bit. I’m kind of hoping we get an almost ash white skin like death knights (but not exactly i’m hoping for something a little different, I don’t wanna straight up STEAL THEIR LOOK - Jus’ sayin). But I think i’ll probably stay purplish. The purple/green is just too good of a color combo to give up.

How about you will you be migrating towards the lighter skinned elves?

Yess! I know that Aleona is going to have a peachy color skin tone but i really do love the “OG” skin tones as well.

I’m honestly READY for these options and also for the Night Elf stuff!

It’s amusing to see that some people still think that implying the reason that people want High Elves is for aesthetics, among other reasons, somehow reduces the validity of their request, even though it doesn’t.

It’s also amusing to see that some people are still desperately trying to find any and every reason, real or imagined, to grasp at a sense of superiority and/or righteousness, where there’s none to be had.

What will be the most amusing of all, however, is how we’ll all be enjoying our High Elves once pre-patch hits and not even give some people a second thought, even while they continue to try and needle us with statements like “you still don’t have paladins/blonde hair!” (as if that’s a per-requisite to being a High Elf), “it still says Void Elf as your race tag” (even though it also still says Blood Elf for their “true High Elf’s” race tag too) or any other flimsy attempt at making us feel lesser.

As much as I am really excited for High Elf aesthetic options, I’d also really like a bone white and coal black skin option for Void Elves as well to lean into a more gothic or truly Drow look. One of the fan made Void Elf skin options showed just how nice a coal black skin option would look.

I just want a non voidy hunter with red hair.

Well you’ll have your wish soon enough! Even if we don’t get any new hair color options at launch, Void Elves do have that one burgundy/wine red hair color option so that should suffice until Blizzard deigns to add more hair colors.

But who knows? We may get several hair colors (including the red you want) with the skin options! So keep your fingers crossed!
