New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

Well what it seemed like to me is that it’s also a select few of High Elves tapping into void, i wouldn’t generalize the entire High Elf race if that makes sense?

I recall one of the High Elf’s quotes is “We can finally research without being judged” not verbatim but something on that line.

So about a dozen NPCs total. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, why would Alleria suddenly become the leader of the High Elves? She isn’t the leader of the Silver Covenant and had been missing for years (decades?). The only way this might have worked is if there had been Lightforged Elves among the Army of the Light.

we are talking about what is playable, although there are high elves that join alleria I repeat it again this is the silver convenant

Which when I talk about expanding high elves in the void we are talking about the justification of the skins, not by this I mean that in the lore the high elves disappear like the silver conventant, but if the void elfs and not just like a war squad

I was replying to Jaimez lol! <3 But i’m so excited to see what they come up with to be honest! I wonder if they will ever re announce that live thingy.

How many void elves, again?

Because she’s a hero to them. A legendary figure that could gather disparate groups.

And she’s the older sister of the leader of the largest high elf organization, who would pledge loyalty to her without a doubt.

Also, if not high elves, then what was the 4th allied race before void elves were created near the end of Legion? Or is Blizzard so Horde-biased that it didn’t stop to think that two races for the Horde and one for the Alliance wasn’t balanced?

My point is those High Elves should be the minority.

My memory was the schism between Blood Elves and High Elves was due to the use of magic use. This is why High Elves have blue eyes and Blood Elves have green eyes.

No doubt the High Elves wayfarers were blizz way of trying seed High Elves into Void Elves. Of course it is possible that there would be outliers in High Elf population. But these void-seeking High Elves feel like outliers and probably closer in principles to Blood Elves. Hence, why I feel the execution is poor.

and how I repeat this depends on what blizzard says and how I announce it

For my part, I already say that they are not subraces, but that the ranks of the void elfs are increasing.

But even so I can be wrong and you are right but we will not know that until someone says something else, and for that we need the stream

the rest is to argue nonsense as they have been here all day, some denying everything, and others thinking that blizz has given them high elves

However, within a month we will know

Alleria and the Wayfarers are proof that at least some High Elves have no problems with using darker magic. Perhaps not all of them, but enough for Void Elves to be a viable race.

I could totally see where you’re coming from! But i still think that the difference in between High Elves and Blood Elves is political.

So for me, it’s always been how loyal the High Elves have been to the Alliance and how they chose the path of good. Those are the high elves to me, regardless of whether they seek new power or not, they will still be the elves that went towards the right path. (to me, at least!)

No “race” sustains itself without civilians to breed.
The void elves are a cult so far. Especially considering there’s not even a known method of creating more of them.

Like I said, two years without even the basic questions answered.

to see what happened to the umbric people is an accident, which is why it has been said that there will be no more elves like this

but another thing is that people like alleria manage to control the power of the void without getting corrupted, and a future of wow where the void is neither good nor bad and where the light can even be villainous, they will have more prominence for which the followers from alleria if they can multiply being her first teacher

Enough to send armies to Lordaeron and Zandalar.

So she is the reason High Elves are traveling to Telogrus to study the Void? She could rally the Void and High Elves under one banner? Yes, the story does seem to be going that way.

Perhaps they DID consider High Elves, but then realized they would be too similar to Blood Elves and went the Void route instead.

But here’s the thing: why didn’t we get normal skins since the beginning? Was there ever a plan? The first opened threads way back focused on asking for simple things like “a high elf connection” and “normal skins” for void elves, and yet Blizzard not only went another way entirely, but also wasted the most void-centric expansion without a single void-related development to the void elves.

It doesn’t feel like there was a plan, a purpose. This discussion we are having right now has been running since November 2017, and almost nothing was fleshed out since.

Lordaeron and Zandalar weren’t part of Legion, which was the subject. If you are going to evade the question, you don’t need to reply.

Which, two years later, proved to be a terrible idea, just like it was clear in 2017.

Was there even -any- kind of development for them? Umbric had a quest or two, but that was basically it.

the matter with the void elfs was an attempt to make them different from the blood elfs and you had that skin, which made more sense the high elves i agree with you

what blizzard is doing now is giving in a little with the matter, that’s why we called him commitment because if it is what many believe, they will still have problems due to the passive of the void elfs,

but I repeat this they have to explain it, maybe if they are sub races but many of us don’t believe it

They assimilate, like the Borg.

No.

We got the Old God expansion with four starting zones with voidy stuff and a fifth with dark magic, plus two voidy-related patches and 3 void-related raids, and Blizzard was unable to develop the void elves in it.

Like the power of the void I think it will go beyond this expansion, we still need to see how the light is corrupted

I agree with you. The void elves’ new skins are probably a development to void elves, but it’s clearly not something that was in the plans. It’s to try a better compromise, as well as allow players to RP as high elves if they so wish.

It may be followed by lore developments such as high and void elves integrating into a single society. I hope so, at least.

These are ideas that we discussed after Blizzcon (during Nov 2017 to Jan 2018). I asked for all of them myself. They were actually void elf threads. The high elf threads only really started after January 2018, when void elves were released and nothing we were asking for was considered. This escalated for two years, and here we are now.

That’s right, as you say it was not in the plans, they are things that are being modified by the pressure of the players
