they’d look pretty snazzy with black skin and purple eyes, i think.
like wrathion looks snazzy. if he had elf ears, he’d look even snazzier.

i think cultural drift is for certain but not all in one direction. also it bugs me that people keep saying there are too few of them, when i see them just as much during my leveling process as any other race, in some cases, more often than others.
when i enter telogus rift, there are several standing around. when i enter the sw mage tower, the same one thats been there since vanilla, is still there.
and when i want to port to outlands, two are creating the portal.
when i get to outlands, one quest hub has like 12 of them.
when i get to northrend, one outpost has some, and the argent tournament has a tent full of them, and several are in dalaran.
when i go to pandaria, i go on a quest with veressa, land on a boat with some, and we form a base on isle of thunder, with a few.
and theres several in legion. and a few in bfa. so the entire leveling experience has high elf npcs on alliance side in nearly every xpac, giving quests, creating portals, being our merchants and class trainers, learning from our npcs and fighting alongside us.
I like this! Good deal!
Or imagine they only had blue skin only

“Well gang, looks like we got a mystery to solve!”
I don’t understand how allowing Void Elves to change Entropic Embrace to something more High Elf themed or even just disable the visual effect hurts Void Elves? It would be a player choice option. If a Void Elf wanted to have Entropic Embrace on and voidy they would still be able to do that. How does offering the player the option to change/toggle it hurt anyone? Even when playing Void elves I was never a fan of it. I thought it was pretty annoying myself.
As for “Paladins were never a staple of High Elves!”
So what?
Are priests a staple of Goblin culture? No.
Are hunters a staple of Gnome culture? No.
Yet they still have these options.
It doesn’t need to be a “staple” for it to be a playable race/class combo. High Elf paladins make sense. There are already examples of them in the game. There’s no reason they shouldn’t have access to paladins.
Hunny, I so can’t wait to be a High Elf.
You could argue Dark Rangers are also a pseudo Blood Elf theme, at least up until BfA.
Oh, I like the assassin. I used that transmog when this character was a Blood Elf.
I really can’t wait for these customizations! I have 3 Velfs on Alliance and will be making 2 of them have fair skin and blue eyes to be high elfs, I just hope we get some silvery/white/blonde hair colors! High Elf NPCs always have very white/light hair so I’d love it to be made a Void Elf option.
Alleria has it so I think it’d be nice, even if they restricted all the golds/browns/reds to Belfs and only gave Velfs white/white-blonde and black, which fits them thematically!
i thought the same thing. talendrion suggested that we could also get two toned hair, where it starts off one color and melds into a complementary color - for example: blonde melding into pink, brown melding into purple. i suggested using gnome hair colors instead of belf hair colors. but for sure white, black and maybe some neon colors or pastels like gnome pink, lavender, cool shades.
I really need to get around to getting the SC tabard
y’all are not high elves.
You are void elves.
Boop
Are you assuming our race?
You going to say that to the masses who will change from Bronzebeards to Wildhammers?
That kind of statement you make is, well, void.
They very likely ARE in fact the High Elves we have been asking for, as in these new customisations.
You realise most of these new options are just Allied Races 2.0?
I wish there was more “Outlaw” type transmogs to suit an Outlaw Rogue.
The same people that are saying “These are our Alliance High Elves now so we can’t ask for them as a race anymore”, are also saying that we’re not allowed to ask for more High Elf customizations on our Void Elves.
Yeah. You’re not allowed to play a High Elf… for… reasons?
You can’t ask for more High Elf stuff on Void Elves because it’s going to destroy the Void Elves. But you can’t ask for more High Elf stuff because you’ve already got em’ on Void Elves.
You just have to look at them everyday when you run around Boralus or Mage District or anywhere else in WoW.
As if every man and his dog isn’t going to change into a Wildhammer.
Methinks Blizzard are well aware of the novelty aspect here. Which as a side note highlights the hilarious epic fail that was the Kul Tirans (one I saw a hundred miles off). Not only were they a new model, but they on paper have a very appealing background being 'Burly Pirate Humans." Yet almost no one plays as them. Now that is called wasted resources.
I mean who isn’t going to change how their character looks?
Who isn’t going to use the skeleton paint on the Trolls?
To me it’s no different than every Void Elf being pink for the first few months. After time things will balance out-- on top of all that does it really matter than more Void Elves are normal skinned? Anyway it makes sense if we consider the old ‘Crack Team’ thing.
