I suppose you can turn on/off the secondary skin/hair color. So, if you turn both off, you’d only get a slight purple tint instead of turning voidy.

According to a tweet I saw, it seems some high elves got purple eyes, others got blue eyes. I’ll check myself later.

Perhaps Dalaran elves are VERY arcane infused and got purple?

Would help breathe life into them and fit the lore that Elf eyes changed based on surroundings.

It’s just the females. All High Elf females had those blue eyes, which in the alpha, have been updated to the purple ones. Pretty sure it’s not a glitch.

Horde got blue eyes, just like it wanted. But it didn’t get high elves, lol.

Probably because they are deleting the old blue high elf eyes… They’ll have to re-assign every npc out there

I wonder. Though I think both those pictures are from Alliance places. One is definitely SW. I hang out with that sorceress when I’m waiting on bgs.
That’d be interesting if Dalaran had purple eyes and other High Elves had blue. And of course the Velfs and belfs have their colors.

I think this is intentional. Blizzard seems to be making a distinction between high and blood elves now that blue eyes became universal.

I mean it would fit the lore of eye colors changing to the Enviroment so if a arcane city like Dalaran was full of elves you’d think they’d all be purple.
Tho I wouldn’t mind some color variety to mix it up.

Wasn’t there a hearthstone card for Vereesa a while back that was using purple eyes like that? I think I remember that sparking some speculation in these discussions before.

It’s also very possible that it’s an unintended side effect or that they aren’t done tweaking NPCs.
Probably a little early to draw full conclusions from this yet. I do like the look, though.
