New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

Never watched that, but I’ll take your word for it.

BEARD!!! My prayers have been answered

Alleria, the velf leader has ranger tattoos so :woman_shrugging:

Blood Elves skin should sparkle with the Light or glow like the Void Elves do with the Void.

Black Blood Elf looks so damn hot , it looks like I’ll be creating more characters because I’m getting new character ideas!

You do realize that the Blood Elves skin color options were not unique right? That not only do other playable races have similar skin tones, but also the Alliance High Elf NPC’s.

Ultimately your issue seems to be a matter of player exclusivity. You saw it as “yours” and you didn’t want to share it. Now that it’s being shared, you feel like it has less value now. At least that’s the impression I’m getting.

I don’t see Blood Elves as being watered down by this. They aren’t actually losing anything and might actually be gaining more than just blue eyes. We’ll have to see exactly what once we know all the new options coming.

People are people. They will always ask for more. I’m no exception. Now that I’m getting some High Elf customization, I’m now focusing on San’layn/Dark Ranger customization for Blood Elves. And assuming I get that, I’m going to invariably start asking for something else.

Well the whole theme going on right now seems to be taking stuff from Blood Elves and giving them to void elves with nothing in return.

I would like some things just unique to Blood Elves. This could be one of those things.

Alleria is the Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way of Azeroth. She ate a void god. I wouldn’t use her as a justification for anything. She’s sUpErUnIqUeAnDsPeCiAl.

Well there’s no real reason to exclude them from ranger tattoos.

Belfs weren’t going to get Blue eyes. The whole discussion started with belfs getting something they were NOT going to get initially. Blizz reconsidered and then let Velfs have the skintones.

Not sure that holds up my friend.

I’ve been told that it should be about the lore and not the tones and eyes, but everyone is so fixated on them.

The Lore suggests Belfs would have the eyes and that velfs (given the wayfarers and Alleria) have the capacity for the tones.

What suggestions do you have to make Blood Elves unique with an equal quantity of customizations then?

Or do you just want to take everything?

Dark Ranger tones and eyes in the same number that Velfs have the voidy purple stuff?

Not a perfect idea but it would even it out a bit.

I’d never use blue eyes on a Blood Elf because I’m not into the whole blonde hair blue eyed elf fantasy.

I literally rolled my eyes in real life when they gave blood elves blue eyes. I’m happy for people that want it, but it kinda contradicts the lore/identity so it’s not for me.

I would like to see options for my dark ranger alt but I don’t think Blizzard cares because there aren’t megathreads hemming and hawing about it.

I think hair colors and some styles should cross over in both directions. But some new ones should be made for void elves, and some should remain exclusive to blood elves.

And I play mostly belves horde side and love them and their lore and still think both sides can share some looks.

Edit: Forgot to mention it, but I agree with Fezzy, dark ranger skins should definitely be included. I think color can separate tattoos as well. Maybe both sides have access to green ranger tattoos, but alliance also gets blue and horde gets red.

Why can’t people just be happy with the hair colors they are already getting?

Why must the belf identity be even more diluted by giving void elves all the hair colors too?

They’ve given you an inch and you’re now taking over ninethousand miles. Don’t you see a problem with this?

I disagree. Blizzard used to maintain that they would, especially if they utilized arcane, eventually get them back.

My mage will be using them but he will not be a high elf. He’s a blood elf.

We’ll see. It’s something I’ve seen off and on as both an AR and class or talent spec. I think blizz is aware of a fair number of folk interested.

There’s also the San’layn though they should probably have some different racials…

it doesnt contradict the lore at all but now i think the whole class is curious how you reacted to void elves getting all(pretty sure all) blood elf skin tones

What I wanted in the first place was high elves as their own ar, with their own model to differentiate them. I’m asking for hair options and tattoos to make the best of what I am actually getting.

You got blood elf skin tones. You should take that victory and be thankful for it instead of continuing to make even more demands.

I was happy for my friend who wants high elves but annoyed and concerned about if anything at all is going to stay unique to Blood Elves or if it’s becoming a neutral race with no compensation. Feels bad man.

Or I can keep asking for the options I would like to see. That doesn’t mean I’m not grateful, but if this is meant to appease high elf fans it should include a few other things to make up for us not getting our own actual AR.
